I rescued her from some people living in a makeshift tent that were very out of their minds on drugs. They were basically starving her, I was told by one of them that "she has dog food but she doesn't eat it, she only eats green beans." You could see every bone in her body. When I got her home she ate so much dog food that she over extended her belly and threw up. She's been happy and healthy. She has been in close contact with another puppy that was surrendered this morning because of parvo. Dueces needs to get her vaccines, but I need to be sure she didn't get parvo from being in contact with Simba. She's an energetic little ball of sunshine. She loves my boys and always makes them smile when they're sad. She loves to play fetch, chew on her bones, and play tug of war with my older dog Dakota. She's come a long way from basically being starved and she shows us every day how much she loves life now. I don't want to lose her to parvo also. The puppies are the boys dogs, and they've already lost one. I'm a single mom of 2, and don't qualify for care connect or scratch pay so I ultimately couldn't afford to get the other puppy the medical care he needed. We love Dueces.
Bo

Bo came to me when one of my best friends found him wandering around on a back road outside of Conway, Ar. Adrienne is probably one of the biggest animal lovers I know, so she immediately went into action trying to find who he might belong to, what shelters had openings, etc. Unfortunately, no one claimed him and no shelters had any room, except for the kill shelter. I offered to foster the cute little dude until we could figure something out. As might be expected, it wasn't long until Bo had claimed space in my home and in my heart. This spring loaded little boy has an infectious and hilarious personality. A laugh is never far away when you're around Bo. He lets HoneyB, my 14 year old dog, rub her itchy nose on him, and despite his overwhelming interest in Houdini the cat, his puppy harassment of her is always gentle and as respectful as a hyper, bouncy pup can muster. He eats like a tornado and chases squirrels like it is his job, which I guess it is since he is a squirrel hunting breed as far as we can tell (Mountain Feist). Every night when we go to bed he falls asleep with his head resting in my hand.
