Ana
Ana is a 1-year-old short hair in Andrews, SC, who needs $1,000 for stomach issues.
Andrews, SC
My daughter turned 5, and she wanted a little kitty as her birthday present! My boss at the time just had a litter of kittens and we decided on her! My daughter's favorite movie is Frozen. So the name she picked out, is Ana! Ana has a sister named Elsa, and they are best friends! They make our family complete! Ana is the type of cat where she will acknowledge you, and then leave you alone. She is my shy kitty. She does not really like any new person, where she will just keep to herself. She loves her sister, and loves our dogs, but anyone else, no no no! She knows when dinner and breakfast time is. She will run into the room and meow until she starts eating! With the current pandemic, the only person working is my husband. We only have 1 income, and with bills, we cannot afford this treatment. I’m currently not able to work due to homeschooling my daughter. My cat has been sick for the last week. She’s been throwing up. I’ve tried every trick in the book to try and get her to eat and drink. It is very heartbreaking to see her in so much pain. I’m not sure what else to do. Ana LOVES to watch her daddy play video games. She will sit and play the game for hours! She also loves the cat laser we have! Ana enjoys to be pet on the back, do not dare touch her face or ears. She also loves to snuggle up with her bestfriend, my son who is 2. She loves to hang out in the bathtub, only when there is not water of course!

Hank
Hank is a 9-year-old Bloodhound in Irmo, SC, who needs $1,850 for diagnosis and treatment of illness.
Irmo, SC
Hank came into our lives when he was 8 weeks old and he is now 9 years old. We bought him for our oldest son when he was young. His AKC registered name is Sir Henry Morgan, but we call him Hank because it fits his personality. He has a fur brother, a chocolate lab named Ruger. They literally are inseparable. Best buddies for life. I am so scared for Ruger if Hank is sick. He will be devastated. Hank used to be so energetic and playful. He still tries as you can see in the video, but he gets tired quickly and is sometimes very grumpy. We have to be very careful with him because when he becomes aggressive, he is mean, but I truly believe it’s because he is in pain. It’s the only explanation. We love him so much and I know he would never purposely hurt us. Prior to COVID-19 we were struggling financially and having our own human medical issues. COVID-19 really took a toll on us financially because we own a small business. We struggle to pay normal bills as it is. We just want our happy, goofy Hank back. We don’t want to worry. Hank will be having his first appointment at Pawmetto Lifeline in Columbia, SC on 6/27. All I know right now is that something is wrong. He has lumps. His legs are weak and wobbly and give out on him. He has become mean and aggressive. I am positive that they will need to do bloodwork and take some xrays and probably prescribe some medication. Beyond that I am unsure what we are up against. Hank is a talker for sure! We have full conversations some days. He has the greatest Bloodhound howl. When we rescued Ruger, I thought he didn’t bark. Hank taught him to howl. They would literally sit next to each other and Hank would howl and then Ruger would try. It was almost as if Hank was saying, “No, no, no...like this!” To this day Ruger howls like his big brother.

Maxwell
Maxwell is an 11-year-old Cockapoo in COLUMBIA, SC, who needs $500 for Superficial Corneal Ulcer-Eyes.
COLUMBIA, SC
Our pet, Maxwell Pooh came into our lives in 2010. He was about 13 weeks old. My husband and I wanted a puppy to grow up with our first born, who was about 11 months old. I always Loved Cocker Spaniels. However, I was drawn to the golden retriever and poodle breed. We found a licensed breeder of several breeds of dogs and came across a Cocker Spaniel and Poodle breed (Cockapoo). He was alone. Maxwell is a loving and playful dog. He enjoys bacon treats around the clock. He enjoys playing with his purple ducky! He occasionally sneaks the children's socks and toys! Maxwell enjoys car rides and family vacations at pet friendly hotels. He likes tug-of-war with his human brother and hiding leftovers treats behind cushions on the couch. He is very sensitive to others and loves attention. My husband and I are both teachers. We have a fixed income and medical expenses. It breaks my heart to know that my dog needs medical attention. We Love Maxwell so much and can't imagine our lives without him. He's a part of usWe want him to have a Full and Healthy life! I am seeking help for my dog's Chronic Severe dry eye condition. He was diagnosed in 2014 after our home was damaged from a flood. The first floor of our home was demolished and we believe he developed some type of allergy to dust. We treated his eyes for a few years. Unfortunately, some months we could not afford his eye drops and never got back on track with his health due to financial issues. Maxwell's favorite friend is his 4 year old human sister. She gives him snacks from her plate. He doesn't like being separated from his family, not even for a second. Maxwell at times when he doesn't get his way fusses. He sounds like an old man! Lol.. Maxwell can be very sneaky, especially around the trashcan. If he is caught, he usually plays it off. He's an actor!

Scurry
Scurry is a 9-month-old Chihuahua mix in Lexington, SC, who needs $157 for neutering, heartworm-testing, and microchipping.
Lexington, SC
Scurry was found abandoned on the lot at the car auction where I work. Our beloved office manager's name was Ginger Scurry (she passed after a very long, hard battle with cancer) and he just reminded me of her, so Scurry is what we started calling him. He's petite, has the same color hair, is fiesty and moves very fast.. all qualities we loved about her. I'm currently fostering him in my home and have been for around 8 weeks, however really just can't take care of him and have not had any luck finding him a forever home.
