Help Zoey May get Gastrointestinal Diagnostics — Tallahassee, FL

Tallahassee, FL

Zoey May was adopted from a rural South Georgia shelter at approximately 3 months old in 2014. She's been my ride or die ever since, always down to try something new and explore new environments. She's completed the OneWorld Canine Obstacle Course twice, her last at 11 years old. Now at 12 years old she's starting a career in agility through AKC Agility League. She might just trot the course nowadays, but she still enjoys getting out there. Zoey's greatest loves are food, her mom, and sniffing. Several months ago Zoey started developing intermittent diarrhea and vomiting, as well as muscle wasting. I suspect irritable bowel disease, but we need to run diagnostics. She will be seen at Paws and Claws in Tallahassee, FL. We have received a quote for the first, and hopefully only, round of diagnostics including another senior blood panel, abdominal ultrasound, and fecal flotation. Zoey has always been down for anything, and her spirit has not dimmed in her golden years. While she may not be able to scramble over boulders anymore, she still enjoys hikes and long sniffs at the beach. At home, she still plays with her little brother (my younger dog Liko) and harasses the cat. She has made it plenty evident she plans to go nowhere anytime soon. Zoey was insured most of her life, but the rising costs of keeping a senior dog on health insurance forced me to take her off of it. This last year my other dog needed patella surgery, and with the rising cost of living, I was unable to pay off my Care Credit as planned.
