Havoc
Havoc is a 4 month old American Pit Bull Terrier in Grand isle, VT, who needs $2,000 for Surgery for Right Broken Elbow.
Grand isle, VT
Havoc is a adorable pit puppy and he reeks havoc for sure he was the last of the litter at 15 weeks old. An old neighbor gave him to us. He did have a limp when he came to us that was thought to be caused by roughhousing with the older dogs. On our way home my 7-year-old grandson held him in the back talking to him saying how he loved him already. It was the sweetest conversation to listen too. The day after bringing havoc home I set him up with vet then found out he has a broken leg that requires surgery. They gave me a referral to peak veterinary referral center for a consultation with a orthopedic surgeon who then told me it would be minimum of $8,000 if he doesn't get the surgery he will end up losing his leg which we are trying our hardest to avoid. Havoc loves and interacts well with everybody. But he does have a special bond with my grandson. He can get him to lay on a mattress on the floor with him and snuggle he loves all toys, wants to tug and do puppy things but because of his broken leg. We have to stop him vet would like him in a kennel often so he doesn't jump and potentially hurt himself worse. This is not the easiest thing to do This was an unexpected expensive expense. I do not have funds to cover this I feel terrible because He deserves a chance to have all four legs. He's such a good puppy. It would mean so much if we could raise the funds needed for him to have a long happy life on all four legs

Mabud
Mabud is a 2 year old Border Collie in Montpelier, VT, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy.
Montpelier, VT
Mabud is a warm, friendly, curious and energetic former street dog from Mexico. Last winter he was adopted by Oja & Joelyn after being hit by a car, and came to Vermont where he has lots of space to go hiking and continue training as a service dog. Mabud loves frolicking in the snow, and adventuring on the local wilderness trails. He has become a beloved family and community member. When Mabud arrived in VT he was having frequent nosebleeds. We thought it was him recovering from being hit by a car. Or maybe a fungal infection. And then in August 2024 we took him to Peak Vet Services in Willison for more evaluation and discovered that he had a tumor in his nose: a type of cancer called TVT. He recently started his Chemo treatment and is recovering steadily. Having lived on the streets of Chiapas for the first year of his life, Mabud is incredibly grateful to have his own family now. He loves to snuggle or go on long walks - either is great! He particularly loves working on his service dog training. He knows many commands and listens carefully and attentively to whatever instruction he is given. His infectious spirit enchants all those he befriends. We borrowed $6000 to cover the cost his initial evaluation & are still paying it off. Now he needs 6 chemo treatments at $640 each. We need help and support in order to complete his treatment. And he has a greater than 90% chance of a full recovery!

Azrael
Azrael is a 1 year old Brittany in Chester , VT, who needs $2,000 for Patellar Luxation Surgery.
Chester, VT
Azrael is a rescue. His mom was heavily pregnant when she came into the shelter we adopted our previous dog from and she gave birth there. After seeing the pics of the litter online, we had initially selected his brother, but when we came in to meet them, he walked straight over to us and chose us and we are so happy he did. Azrael was born with patellar luxation - meaning his knee caps have trouble staying where they should be. Due to the severity of the luxation and the complexity of the surgery, he needs a specialist to reshape his leg bones and insert pins/add plates and screws to help keep his knee caps in place. He is just the sweetest dog we have ever rescued. He is gentle and loving and so cuddly. He talks a lot, especially when he wants things. And he is so smart too. His eyes are so expressive and you can tell that he adores all the attention he gets. Since I am friends with the owner of his biological brother, they get to spend time together too - something that is just so heartwarming to watch The surgery will cost around $10,400, although this could increase depending on what they find within his knees (such as damage to his ligaments). He is just a baby, so we want him to have a long and healthy life free of pain - which is what this surgery will provide.

Tails
Tails is a 9 year old Mix-Breed in South Burlington, VT, who needs $2,000 for CrCL Ligament Replacement and Teeth Extractions.
South Burlington, VT
Tails is a 9 year old indoor cat, who I've had since she was just a few weeks old. I found her in a barn along with her sister Viv, and they came home to live with us that same day! Nine years later, still indoor only, but she has plenty of room to play and birds to watch. Tails has had a limp for as long as I can remember. Her left leg always seemed uncomfortable and it's clear that her confidence in jumping and running was steadily declining over time. As a kitten, the vet always assured us she was okay. Now she's nine, and the awesome vets at VCA and Peak in VT have helped us confirm that she has a torn ligament as well as arthritis in her left knee. Tails is the sweetest cat in the entire world. Since she was the size of a little potato her favorite spot is perched right up on my shoulder, but nowadays she's a bit heavier! Her favorite things to do are watch (and yell) at birds, run and chase toys through her tunnels back and forth across the room, and of course, sleeping. She's such a happy cat, and it's sad to see her in constant pain. As two young adults fighting through student debt and ever rising rent and bill payments, we could use every bit of help we can get. Tails also needs two teeth removed due to infection, and the cost of surgery keeps rising as our funds are diminishing with each vet visit.
