Moose
Moose is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Kodiak , AK, who needs $2,000 for Anemia and Monocytosis.
Kodiak, AK
Moose holds the position of the youngest member in our family. He is currently 5 months in age. We chose the name Moose for him as all members of our family have names that begin with the letter M. I brought him in from another village since the owner lacked the capacity to care for all the litters. Moose exhibits a playful demeanor and enjoys engaging in play with his brother Milo, who is a two-y Early on Sunday, he encountered an accident that required me to transport him by air to the Pet Emergency clinic in Anchorage because of the severity of his condition. An orthopedic surgeon conducted a surgical procedure to address diaphyseal short oblique fractures of the left radius and ulna as well as the right tibia and fibula. He spent the night at the clinic for observation. Moose plays a significant role in our lives. He serves as a brother to my children and my other dog. Words cannot adequately convey the significance they hold in our lives, and we consistently demonstrate our affection and concern for them by preparing nutritious meals, providing vitamins, offering ample cuddles, engaging in playtime both at home and in parks, as well as socializing with friends. Following the numerous surgeries and medical appointments, I now face a debt of nearly $10,000, which poses a significant challenge for me as a single mother. I dedicate significant time and energy to support my children and dogs, and I would sincerely value your help.

Hunter
Hunter is a 2.5 year old Mix-Breed in Wales, AK, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.
Wales, AK
Me and my boyfriend adopted our dog Hunter in 2023 locally. Hunter stays inside with us and his brothers Rocky and Reaver. - whom he loves and test his playfulness with. He is very spoiled by his dad(my boyfriend) and follows him riding, running, hunting, fishing, and even visiting! He'll rub on you until he gets his pet, rub or itch in! Hunter got hurt trying to enter our house after relieving himself. He hit the door so hard he dropped an axe that was hanging up that cut through his ulna bone (Forearm). Hunter is our most outgoing spoiled, and smartest dog. He is a very active dog- always running and enjoys the outdoors. He loves interacting with other dogs he knows. But first he gets their approval by army crawling, and rolling around infront of them. Then he'll sniff them up. He loves duck hunting and will retrieve them and will be very playful with giving up "his" catch!! With this emergency it is an unexpected expensive expense with not much emergency funds available. It's mean alot for Hunter to be able to keep his leg. At the end of the day- he makes his way to out bed and claims "his" spot. Laying where he can grab a pillow! He's our boy

Akela
Akela is a 7 year old German Shepherd Dog in Sterling, AK, who needs $2,000 for Renal Treatment due to Rimadyl Overdose.
Sterling, AK
Akela has been on of my best friends so be he was a puppy. He was my present to myself for paying off all my student loans and being mentally, financially and physically stable. He came to me in Alaska from Missouri where his brother lives. Akela loves playing in the woods, taking naps curled up next to his human mom and would give you all his kibble if you just throw the ball one more time. Akela was hospitalized on 09/11/24 for a rimadyl overdose after consuming about 75g of the medication while we were away. Currently he is on fluids, and a few different medications to try and help his liver and kidneys recover from this. As well as receiving a platelet transfusion. Because we are in Alaska, 24 hour veterinary care is scares with only one facility in the state. Akela is such a good boy, he is so sweet and gentle with everyone he meets. Even the vet staff comments on how good he is every time we see them. He is the leader of our dog pack and protector of our home, though he a silly side to him as well. This was something completely unexpected and something we have tried to avoid within our home for the over a year that our other GSD has been on this medication. Care is costing around $20k with; 24 hour care, medications, transfusion and imaging.

Chachi
Chachi is a 13 year old Chihuahua in Palmer, AK, who needs $1,800 for Mandible Surgery/Amputation.
Palmer, AK
Chachi came into my sisters life a little over 7 years ago from a family that wasn’t able to give him the life he deserved. Ever since, he’s been a perfect companion, always along for the ride. Whether he’s greeting customers at our small business, coming along for hike, or just trying to find a comfortable place to sit, he’s always happy to be there. Chachi knows no strangers, and loves all! Wednesday, May 15th, tragedy struck. Chachi was having a regular visit at his grandmas house when one of her large cats decided to attack. In one quick swipe, Chachi’s tongue was sliced and his jaw broken. It happened so fast, unsure if it was just a cut or worse, he was taken to the emergency vet, Pet Emergency Treatment in anchorage, almost an hour away. Chachi will need emergency surgery. Chachi isn’t your average chihuahua. Yes, he thinks he’s bigger and tougher than he really is.. and yes, he loves to wear a sweater.. But Chachi is a family dog, an adventurer, a friend to cats, and all around a little love. It would mean the world to his family if he could live out the rest of his days either with a new jaw, or no jaw. We know he’d be happy either way. As a working mom, we all know funds aren’t easy to obtain. But when your beloved family pet’s life is on the line, we have to find a way. Chachi is a beam of light for his family, and he deserves to live the rest of his little life.

Gus
Gus is a 6-month-old Labrador in White Mountain , AK, who needs $2,000 for Broken Back Leg.
White Mountain, AK
Gus came into our lives the end of June 2023. He is our only pet that we have in the house. He has gone on many boat rides and plenty of hunting. He is usually very healthy and very social with others. He is an inside dog so he does well with others. He is young to where we were just starting to train him. He likes to go on long walks and also likes to run. He is such a young dog; his life was just starting. So he has not have had time to encounter too much or what a normal dogs life span. His behavior is fantastic and very easy going. He has a broken fibula on the right hind leg. Sending him to Anchorage, Alaska is the only option. We are located in White Mountain, Alaska so getting him to where he needs to be seen is a challenge by itself. Unexpected expense to help with his leg. On the road to recovery he will have plenty of outings where we go for walks once he is back. Once he is back home we will make sure to take things slow and at his pace.

Scotch
Scotch is a 0.4-year-old Golden Retriever in ANCHORAGE, AK, who needs $1,325 for Hospital stay until cardiologist can evaluate him, cardiologist specific appointment cost, and possible cardiac surgery..
ANCHORAGE, AK
This little boy came into our snowy Alaska home unexpectedly in less than a day, due to a family emergency in the original home. We rearranged our life, and went and brought him home 16 hours later. My partner and I played with multiple names, but eventually ended on Scotch, his 7 year old brother in our home is named Butter, so we just thought fit that we had a Butter/Scotch duo. Scotch has been a funny floppy little addition to our one dog family. Butter, our 7yo golden, quickly learned that Scotches favorite place to be is snuggled up as close as glue to any part of him. He has put Butter on a diet by trying to consume his old man food without breathing in 0.7 seconds. His 23lb self somehow has become boss of 70lb brother. Scotch loves to greet my partner and/or I with our lovely 12hr worn socks. I have no idea how he finds these socks, I believe he is breeding them somewhere. I truly believe that he feels like he has given me the world when he drops that stinky sock in my hand, whole body wiggling with pride, accepting his praise. After at 3mo old Scotch started getting exercise intollerant and very short of breath. We learned that he has a heart murmur that has thrown him into heart failure. We live in Alaska, the one pet cardiologist, Dr Webber, is not in state, and we had to wait 25 days to see her. Scotch got on 2 heart medications until Webber can see him. Scotch was unable to stand/breath last night, a day before his cardiology apt. He is currently in the ER in an oxygen tank waiting for his cardiology apt. His 12hr estimate was $1200 on low end. We owe it to him to at least make it to see if his heart failure is surgical.

Goop
Goop is a .75-year-old Pitsky in Anchorage, AK, who needs $2,000 for Resection and Anastomosis.
Anchorage, AK
Goop was born in January and made it from North Pole to Anchorage right before everything shut down for Covid. He has been with us since he was 8 weeks old. Our family has Goop, the Pitsky, Scrambles the Coonsky. They have my house and a fenced in back yard in Anchorage with plenty of food, water, and attention and love. They get access to outside whenever they please. Goop is a sweet, gentle, well behaved boy. He likes to walk the edge of our back yard and smell the flowers in the flowerbed and napping in the sunshine. Goop plays tag with his brother and loves doing tricks for treats. He is very well behaved: we take strolls around the neighborhood and he is always on his best behavior. I am in a doctoral therapy program and school is going to cost roughly 200,000 dollars before I finish. I love my dog. I raised him from a puppy and I need him with me. All I want is to see him healthy and happy. Goop went to the pet emergency hospital in anchorage. Dr. Davidson told me has an obstruction in his g.i. tract caused by a telescopes section of intestine. They said it was common occurrence for dogs his age. A section of the prolapsed intestine was damaged and needed to be removed. After the surgery he should be able to heal and live a full life. Goop is extra gentle. He loves snuggling with the cat and he lets his older brother chew on his head from time to time. He loves to sun himself on the back porch. He rolls onto his back and his top gums pool on the wood. He snores if hes in a deep enough sleep. He always snuggles me to sleep every night.
