Finny is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Massapequa, NY, who needs $3,000 for Seizure Treatments.

Finny has been a part of our Family since she was 9 weeks old. She is a great big sister to our human children and two other pups. She loves long walks and spending time in the backyard. In April 2024 Finny has experienced her 1st seisure...the episodes have been rare at first, but unfortunately progressed to be more consistent and regular. Since January 2026, after a very scary cluster episode she has been administered Phenobarbital. Unfortunately the seisures continued, and it was necessary to add Keppra in July 2026. We have been under the care of NSALA pet health center. Finny is like an old soul, she understands emotions of humans better than any dog I have encountered. She will follow you everywhere and wants to be near everyone all the time. We are a family of 5 humans and 3 dogs. With pressing testing, medication fees and constant monitoring of Finnys conditions its been very challenging to be able to pay for her medical expenses...Every little bit helps us help her...

Peluche spent five years in Puerto Rico living chained outside. The chain was his whole world. Food and water were inconsistent, and many days he went without either. He had no real shelter from the heat or rain and little human contact. He spent most days alone, quiet, and forgotten, just surviving and waiting to be noticed. Peluche recently had bloodwork done at North Shore Animal League in Port Washington, New York. The results showed that he has both Lyme disease and heartworm disease. In addition, his tests revealed high levels of protein in his urine, indicating further health concerns that will require ongoing monitoring and treatment. Peluche is special because of how loving and devoted he is. He’s very clingy in the best way and always wants to be close to his people. His tail is almost always wagging, especially when he’s happy or getting attention. He listens extremely well and is eager to please, forming strong bonds with family members and showing constant affection and loyalty. Peluche’s medical needs are more than I can afford right now. Treatment, medications, and follow-up care add up quickly. Support would allow me to focus on helping him heal. Seeing Peluche healthy again would mean giving him the safe, happy life he’s always deserved.

Leia (medium brown-female) is a Cruzan rescue from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands where I lived for 8 years. She is part of my 6 rescue animal furry family with Subotai (golden-dog-femal), Oreo (dog) and 3 cats Elecktro, Frost, and Kitty Kitty. I love sci-fi so of course “Leia” is Princess Leia from Star Wars. I had to move back to NY last year with all my animals after losing my job and my elderly parents needing full-time care. My parents borrowed money to bring us back to live in their house but my Dad is severely allergic and my Mom is phobic so the animals are sequestered to small areas of the house. Once in NY all 3 of my dogs were diagnosed with heartworm at the North Shore Animal League. Leia is the heart of my furry family which have kept me going during the last 2.5 years when my life fell apart. Leia is my watchdog. She tells me when something's wrong, when I'm needed, and especially when the other dogs are misbehaving lol. Subotai loves Leia but Oreo is OBSESSED with her and my cat Elecktro rubs on her every chance he gets:) Leia is just my rock, and I NEED her to be with me. I have been out of work for 2 yrs and have no more money. I am desperate, terrified, embarrassed, and heartbroken that Leia has such a serious and potentially fatal disease, and I do not have the money to finish her treatment. She is my child, my life, and my heart.
