Remi
Remi is a 6-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier in Muscatine, IA, who needs $1,642 for Pyometra Surgery.
Muscatine, IA
I got Remi as a rescue 6 years ago. Her owner couldn’t keep her because of a pit bull ban that started where he lived. This made it very difficult for him to rehome her. The humane society couldn’t help either due to the ban. We now live outside of a small town in rural Iowa. She loves the country life. we spent a lot of time fishing and hunting before my aneurysm. I’m trying to get back to it Remi sleeps in bed with her favorite pillow. She loves playing in the snow. Something about fresh snow really gets her excited and gives her puppy-like playful energy. It’s so fun to watch her. She loves going fishing. She has her nose to the ground the second she’s out of the car and in hot pursuit of something. I don’t know what that is, and I’m pretty sure; neither does she! Remi is the definition of man’s best friend. She has been by my side every day since I suffered a brain aneurysm earlier this year. The road to recovery is long with many emotional hills and valleys. Remi is my loyal companion and a major source of happiness in my life. I can’t imagine going through this without her. Remi is at Precious Paws Veterinary Clinic in Bettendorf, Iowa under the care of Dr. Kay Metzger DVM. She needs lifesaving surgery for pyometra, an infection in her uterus. Unable to work due to a recent brain aneurysm. Haven’t gotten disability approved yet so no income at this time. Can’t get care credit due to this and have no emergency fund left. Remi is my loyal companion and brings me comfort and happiness.
