Tonka

Tonka is a 9 month old Rottweiler in Willingboro, NJ, who needs $6,000 for Femoral Head Ostectomy.

Willingboro, NJ

I purchased Tonka as an 8 week old puppy from a friends sister who is a breeder. I dreamt about his name before I even got him so to me that was an indication this was meant. For the last 9 months he has been such a joy and full of personality. He’s great with my granddaughters and loves everyone in the family. He gets lots of cuddle time and full run of his huge backyard. Tonka was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 9 months old. We recent met with a surgeon at Red Bank Animal Hospital in Mt. Laurel NJ. He will need a Femoral Head Ostectomy, to correct his left hip. This will allow him to be pain free and improve his mobility. Tonka is currently having issues walking, running and just doing normal things that a puppy his age should be able to do. Tonka loves everyone. From my granddaughters down to my 82 year old mom who is his favorite. He gets super excited when he sees her and the number gets to wiggle crazy fast. He loves cuddling on the couch, pup cups from Starbucks, looking out the window and sunning hisself in the backyard. He can be very vocal when he is trying to get your attention or his point across. My emergency fund was depleted saving him from parvo the first week I got him and I have recovered. This diagnosis is unexpected and I am doing everything in my power to raise the funds.

Millie

Millie is a 12-year-old Medium Hair Tortie Domestic Cat in Haddonfield, NJ, who needs $2,000 for Iv Fluids for Stage 3 Kidney Failure, Antibiotics, and Nausea Meds.

Haddonfield, NJ

My name is Johanna and I am a disabled cat mom residing in southern New Jersey. I have 2 tortishell cats, Millie and Nova. My older cat Millie is 12, and a very loving, sweet, elderly cat. Before we gave Millie her forever home, she was returned 3 times to the shelter which we got her from. We’ve now had her for 10+ years and she is the center of our small family at home. I have a daughter and another cat Nova as previously mentioned and my daughter has a dog named Indy. Thankfully they all get along and Millie is usually either in my lap or the top of the cat tree. Millie is more of a chirper than a meow-er. She loves to chase anything with feathers and has always been a cuddly companion on my worst health days due to my chronic conditions. She loves the heating blanket and the crook of the couch where she can cuddle up next to me. We originally took her to Banfield where we were then directed to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital which is affiliated with the Red Bank hospital system. As a single income, SSDI household, hospitalizing Millie will require literally every ounce of funding we have saved up. Many veterinarians said she will need to be hospitalized which will most likely be thousands of dollars after we get an estimate. As previously mentioned, I am a single disabled mother on a fixed income. Millie’s health issues have taken a massive financial strain on our small family. We are pouring as much money into saving her life as possible and any assistance would help immensely. Thank you
