Daysha is a 3-year-old AmStaff rescued from the pound. She’s the cuddly, loyal giant teddy bear at the heart of our busy home, living with her humans, 3 cats, and a Chihuahua mix. She is completely woven into our daily lives, making her sudden loss of mobility from a torn knee ligament incredibly difficult for our whole family. We just want our sweet protector healthy again. Daysha has a severe right CCL rupture (a torn ACL) causing acute pain, swelling, and arthritis. She needs TPLO surgery at Rhodes Ranch Animal Hospital with Dr. Anderson. This procedure has a 90-95% success rate and acts as a functional cure. It will stabilize her knee, eliminate her pain, and allow her to return to a full, active life Daysha is a gentle giant who loves to curl up and cuddle as close to her humans as possible. She has a calm, affectionate demeanor and an innate understanding of when someone needs extra comfort. While she takes her job of watching over the family seriously, she balances that protective instinct with pure sweetness. She thinks she's a lap dog and will happily spend hours soaking up affection. This medical emergency has brought an unexpected, overwhelming financial burden. Specialized ortho surgery & rehab is a major expense we aren’t prepared for, it's a hurdle we cannot clear alone.
