She is an abandoned stray cat who showed up at my home wearing a collar that was too tight and frayed. I spent days gaining her trust so I could safely remove it. Since then, she has stayed close and now waits at my door every day for food, safety, and comfort. She is currently limping and often not putting weight on one of her paws. There is no visible wound, which makes me concerned about a possible injury or developing infection. She appears to be in pain and needs a veterinary exam as soon as possible to determine the cause and prevent it from getting worse. She is incredibly gentle and trusting despite what she has been through. After gaining her trust, she now comes to me every day and waits by my door. She chose to stay, and that connection means everything to me. I want to give her the safe, loving home she deserves. I have had reduced hours at work and do not have the full amount needed to cover emergency veterinary care right away. I can contribute some, but I do not have an emergency fund. I am asking for help so she can receive the treatment she urgently needs.
