Tiny Screamer

Tiny Screamer is a 11-year-old Domestic Long Hair cat in Okemos, MI, who needs $800 for oral surgery .

Okemos, MI

Tiny needs help quickly. The 11-year-old cat is in a great deal of agony. His family has been searching for answers to his medical problems for the last year. "Tiny starts having issues breathing, hiding, not eating well, looking in distress, and miserable," Kerissa K., his human mom, tells Waggle. Kerissa says Tiny's health has been complex and his best shot to get well again requires an operation to help fix something that is a very common problem in older cats. "His vet, Kerry Lewis at Riverside Cat Hospital, has recommended we address his issues as a pain response to severe periodontal disease and proceed with oral surgery." He got the nickname Tiny Screamer because he makes his opinions known. "He's very vocal and affectionate, always has something to say, and will have conversations with you in a sweet yet screamy voice. Hence his cute name," Kerissa says. Tiny has been a huge part of Kerissa's family since they adopted him as a stray kitten when he was seven weeks old. "His beautiful fluffy coat and round owl eyes drew us in at first, but his sweet, loving, and funny disposition made my husband and I fall in love with him as soon as we brought him home," she says. Unfortunately, Kerissa can't afford his medical care. "The invoice for Tiny's treatment is $1000, our financial situation is limited," she adds. "We are currently on one income due to my chronic health issues with an autoimmune disease. Any help would be greatly appreciated so we can get Tiny the pain relief and dental surgery he needs!"
