I recently lost my apartment, I’m on disability and food stamps. I have a permanent medical condition and Tallulah is my therapy dog for my hearing loss and depression. She was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor and needs surgery to remove it and find out how cancerous it is. Tallulah is 8 years old and still healthy otherwise. Tallulah and I live with another dog that we rescued. I recently became homeless due to the cost of living increase and my medical needs for monthly doctors appointments and prescriptions. She’s my life, I have co close friends or support as I am socially isolated due to the illness. Tallulah is my companion also my ears because I am very hard of hearing. Without her I am lost. We have been together for 8 years. Tallulah is so very smart and we learned a lot from each other. We did lots of obedience and some dog sports early on in her life. Since then she’s so wonderfully synced with me. She’s a prescribed therapy dog by my doctor for depression. I couldn’t imagine life without her. She’s very much an athletic dog still. Every moment of my day she is with me. Up until now Tallulah has been healthy, she’s fully vaccinated and spayed. I became homeless because I’m on disability and it’s not enough to pay for food, medicine, medical bills for an autoimmune disease and depression, and rent. I’m currently trying to figure out where and how to live after this. Tallulah a week ago was seen for several lumps. One was tested positive for Mast Cell tumor. The vet wants to remove the mast cell tumor and some other lumps to send out for a diagnoses by a histopatholgist to diagnose and find out what grade the tumor is, and if it was all taken out by margins. We have an appointment scheduled for 4/21/22.
