Lucy

Lucy is a 5 year old German Shepherd Dog in Yokuts Valley, CA, who needs $15,000 for Orthopedic Surgery for Two Legs.

Yokuts Valley, CA

We had a person relinquish a German Sheppard with us who has two broken front legs. We do not want her euthanized as she is so sweet. She is good looking and young and can be fixed, but we need help to fund her surgery. We are willing to adopt her and provide any special care in her future, but right now we are struggling to survive ourselves and she is in immediate risk of being put down by. She has multiple fractures in one front leg and a single fracture in the other front leg. Other than that she is healthy and can have a wonderful life. UC Davis and others have quoted up to 15K+ to fix her. She is such a sweet soul. When I touch a part of her injury, she moved quick from the pain, but just licks my hand. She wants to live and have a life she's never known. The person that brought her to us already has about 20 pets and the vet hospital requires prepayment before treatment can start and we simply don't have it. She is facing being put down very soon unless someone finds it in their heart to save her.

Harlow

Harlow is a 10 year old Chihuahua in Aptos, CA, who needs $4,000 for MRI.

Aptos, CA

I rescued my pet out, Harlow out of Fresno, CA. A couple were giving her away and showed up with a can of dog food and handed her to me. She was the size of my palm! That was 10 years ago. Since then Harlow has been by my side and been my best friend. She is friendly, loves to meet everybody, loyal, and so full of love. Harlow lives as the only dog, and has been very healthy until recently. Harlow has been experiencing whole body muscle spasms. They are thought to cause great pain, as she cries out when they are occurring. The spasms come out of nowhere, and can last anywhere from 2 seconds to all nite long. Sage Veterinary hospital saw her and suggested she receive either an MRI or Spinal Tap. At this time the spasms are uncontrolled until there is a diagnosis. Harlow has a gift of culminating great affection from others as she acts as a welcoming committee everywhere we go. She draws others to her and people usually say she made their day just by her friendly nature and how full of love she is toward everybody. She interacts like the best friend she is and the loving family member we know her to be. I am self employed and rely solely on 100% commission. I have recently had a big reduction in my business due to the economy, the tariffs making my expenses more expensive, and my clients reducing their monthly appointments.

Bodie

Bodie is a 3 year old Pug in San Jose, CA, who needs $2,000 for Diagnostics for Urinary Issues.

San Jose, CA

Hello! Bodie is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky pug who enjoys a good morning going for an adventure and finishing up with a pup cup. Originally from the Seattle area, Bodie enjoys nature and going for hikes. We are extremely active in our free time as I am a student and he is one of my support systems. We have been together for three moves across two states in just 3 years. Bodie has been experiencing urinary issues since 8/19/2025. He is not able to urinate on his own, and has had a catheter placed since 8/20/2025. While there is no official diagnosis, they believe it is due to an inflammation of the urinary system and bladder. He is currently at SAGE Veterinary and may need to be transferred to the UC Davis teaching hospital if they cannot resolve the issue at SAGE Bodie loves everyone he interacts with and leaves a mark on your heart with his adorable facial expressions. With a crooked tongue that you can often see sticking out to the side, Bodie is known for his cuddly and easy-going nature. Some of his favorite activities are going for hikes or bike rides, riding around in the car, playing with other dogs at the park, and eating pup cups. I am a student, finishing up my Bachelor's and starting my Master's in Teaching. Due to multiple moves, we do not have the financial resources to pay these medical bills. Bodie is my baby and having my best friend home again would mean the world.

Photo of Aurora

Aurora

Aurora is a 10-year-old DAS in Walnut Creek, CA, who needs $2,000 for Lab Work: CT, Rhinoscopy, and Biopsies for Diagnosis and Treatment.

Walnut Creek

Aurora is a rescue cat that spent the first 5 months of his life on the streets. In his foster home, he hung with the dogs & developed endearing dog like mannerisms. When I read the description of a very unique kitten named Sandy, i knew. I told my dear friend Sandy my exciting news & his new name. She then shared as a child she wanted to be named Aurora. I knew we were meant for each other. Aurora is my support cat and truly incredible. I'm disabled, home & bedbound. We are together 24/7, he cares for me in amazing ways. He adores his 2 brothers & likes making mischief with them. Aurora is very affectionate & sleeps under the covers in my arms. He loves cuddling his brothers and even tolerates them sleeping on him. He comes when I call him but typically is always by my side or on me. A friend commented his cat didn't act like Aurora, to which I responded no cat does. He loves my rollator, jumping on it any time I get up to be pushed around the apartment & riding in my wheelchair. He loves water & to "steam" while I shower. He's fascinated by the toilet. He is a ham for guests, showing them his carpet tricks proudly. While he loves cuddles, he's very energetic with toys. He has been seeing Dr. Garcia at SAGE. He likely has chronic rhinosinusitis and either IBD or small cell lymphoma (50/50). He has a heart murmur & cardiomyopathy. We've worked on solutions such as a novel protein diet & medication since I can't afford ct & rhinoscopy. He has lost 27% of his body weight since May 2022, putting his health in a dangerous situation & tests are urgent. My only income is SSDI ($734/month) since my estranged husband abandoned us, despite knowing about Aurora’s condition. Navigating severe chronic illness alone is challenging, yet, we survive because we have each other. He deserves accurate treatment for his quality of life.

Whiskey

Whiskey is a 3-year-old English Bulldog in San Jose , CA, who needs $2,000 for U/G Cystotomy, Brachial Cephalic, Neuter.

San Jose, CA

It was Covid shelter in place days, I wanted my kids to have a pet they could play with and love and be distracted from things going on in the world. I found a lady selling three pups and she said the runt of the litter had a small bite from his mom and no one wanted him. I immediately fell in love when she sent me his picture. We picked him up and he ran towards us and took him home soon after. He is the family’s pet, but my sons treat him more like a brother. My mom loves him like a son too. He goes everywhere with us. He is mostly in doors unless we are out and about. He loves his baths and napping and especially cuddle time! Whiskey likes to hide when it’s time to go potty, we think he’s playing a game. Even when he needs to go potty he hides under my desk or kitchen tabel. Whiskey just recently started straining when I took him potty. I noticed he was dribbling urine so I took him to the vet, they ran several test and couldn’t diagnose him, so I took him to another vet and they found bladder stones, and recommend three procedures for whiskey to live a normal life. Sage in Campbell. They have been really quick and efficient but can financially help me. I lost my job about a month ago, and barely getting on my feet, I just spent thousands of dollars just trying to get him diagnosed, I’ve applied for all the loans for vets one can get and have gotten denied due to my credit score. I try to get him pet insurance and failed too.

Ollie

Ollie is a 11-year-old in san jose , CA, who needs $2,000 for Gastro-Intestinal Surgery.

san jose, CA

Ollie stole my heart to moment he was born. Sweet, loving, and always one step behind me how could you not love this guy? He was one of 14 puppies from my other dog Xena’s litter. Him, along with his mom Xena are now together with us. A little cramped in an apartment but that’s fine with Ollie since he couldn’t live without someone’s constant attention. Ollie is never far from your side. He’ll take pets all day but also just loves to be next to you, while also reminding you he’s there with a politely place paw on your leg or arm every once in a while. He’s loved by everyone he meets and always puts a smile on peoples face when we bring him to work or over to someone’s house. Ollie lovesss to chew. Kongs, bones, balls and all the toys under the sun. A little shy at first but then is always ready to play if he sees you or a familiar dog again. He has a deep play bark which can seem scary to those who don’t know him but he is always in a play now position with his tail wagging as soon as he sees another dog. Like I said.. Ollie loves to chew. But sometimes it’s not a toy. Maybe it’s a pillow, a cup, or in this case a necklace. A small gold necklace is stuck in Ollie’s stomach and causing a blockage so he cannot keep food down and is often crying to go outside for the bathroom. Still in high spirits, he’s unable to get the nutrients from his food because the blockage is stopping the food from absorbed I have been in and out of work for a bit of time due to COVID and work sites being shut down. I also recently was injured at home. We make a modest living but not enough to cover these costs. Having Ollie back to himself will make our family come back to life again.

Blue

Blue is an 11-year-old Pitbull in Manchester, CA, who needs $2,000 for Definitive Radiation with RapidArc Delivery.

manchester, CA

Blue came into our lives when she was just three weeks. She was rescued from a breeder who had her away from her mother, outside in the cold, dirty, covered with fleas and eating crackers. We took her in bottle feed her and gave her all the love we have. She was the runt of her litter, but grew up to be strong and healthy. Prior to Blue's current medical condition, Blue was loving life. She would spend hours sunbathing on the deck in the backyard, going for walks with grandpa, hikes with us and her grandmother. She has unconditional love for us. She loves going to the beach and going on car rides to discover new places to explore. She loves climbing under the covers with us and cuddling. When she gets excited she prances around the house with the biggest smile on her face. When we come home she is by the door smiling and so excited to greet us. She loves to cuddle right up on you and smack you with her paw when you stop petting her, just to get you to do it again. She loves giving kisses to her mommy and daddy. When she cries she loves it when you sing "you are my sunshine". Blue has had multiple mast cell tumors, which have always been removed and have been grade I or II. Now Blue has a brain tumor that is life threatening and inoperable, but radiation is an option. Blue will have radiation treatment for her brain tumor at Sage Centers in Campbell California. They say that the treatment can add years to her life, and could make her return to normal again, We take care of my girlfriend's elderly father, who would be homeless otherwise. We have a mortgage & have already spent a lot on Blue's other procedures the most recent was September. Words can't express what it would mean to have Blue healthy and enjoying life again.
