Whiskey

Whiskey is a 1 year old Mix-Breed in Montrose , CO, who needs $1,000 for Jaundice Care.

Montrose, CO

Whiskey was given to us by a stranger when he was only seven weeks old. He will be one on August 16 of 2024. He’s a little brother to two loving Rottweiler’s and just became a big brother to another rescue kitty. Though his name is whiskey, he is our lover boy he’ll come up and reach up for hugs. Every time you go to the bathroom, he hast to go with you. He Deserves nothing but love and attention. Within the last three days, he has turned yellow, which is a sign of jaundice and within the last 24 hours he has declined rapidly. Because this was noticed on a weekend our local veterinary clinics aren’t open. I originally got him for an emotional support animal, but he quickly turned into a best friend for my kids, he loves to cuddle and loves to chase his little brother around the house. Anytime I’m sad he comes up and cuddles with me, rubs his face on mine, and lays with me until I’m stable enough to handle my emotions. Anytime anyone is sad really, he’s right there by their side helping them. We are currently living paycheck to paycheck. I’m currently pregnant and had to quit my job due to the pregnancy. We are able to pay if a veterinarian would accept payment but we don’t have the means to pay up front, or in large sums.

Mary

Mary is a 5-year-old Shorthair Cat in Montrose, CO, who needs $1,700 for Emergency Spay due to Pyometra.

Montrose, CO

Hi my name is Kelsey and this is Mary! A kitty my daughter and I rescued from a store where she had been dumped and was pregnant. She had been out there for at least 2 years before we found her. When we got her she safely had her babies. She nursed them for 10 months, she loves them so much. She's is so good to them. I don't have the heart to give up on her. She needs us and we need her. Mary has been with us for 3 and a half years. She was so thin and malnourished when we got her and brought her home. It took a long time for her to completely trust us. We want her to be ok. She has 4 of her 6 kittens that live with us. They love her and she loves then so much. She's so young and had such a hard life before we brought her to our home. She is always "talking" to us. She loves to chat all day and all night. She's beautiful, she has big blue eyes and beautiful white hair. She loves her babies which are not babies anymore. They are so much bigger than her. One of them lays on top of her. You can tell she's had such a hard life. She is finally secure knowing that she is loved and taken care of. She is at the veterinary hospital, and she needs to have her uterus and ovaries removed because of pyometra. Otherwise she is in perfect health and has a good outcome after the surgery. She has no other problems and this was totally unexpected. I just lost one of my kitties in October unexpectedly, that incurred $7,000 in bills. He had cancer and diabetes. Then one of Mary's kitties had a urinary blockage and that was over $3,000. We love her so very much. She is a very important, special part of our family.
