Little dog showed up on our familys property one day, looking hungry and totally lost. We checked with the shelters, used online and social media to search for his owners but no one came forward to claim him. The rest of the family was going on vacation a few days later so we offered to house him while they were on their trip. During that trip Nana broke her leg and had to have urgent surgery. That also meant she would not be able to care for Little Dog upon their return. After even 3 days with LD, I fell in love with him and he brought some spunk back into our older dog, Mack, so we added a new dog to our family. Since we didn't really know much about him, we started calling him LD, for Little Dog and that is now what he comes running to when you call him! As we started to try and train him to fit in our routine and to NOT pee on the couch, I noticed that he was straining to pee at times and marking his territory in the most random places, I thought something was off! I then paid close attention to his bathroom routine and the next morning on our walk, I noticed blood in his urine:( The next day I took him to the Vet, he was examined for possible UTI, but that is when we found out he has a large stone in his bladder!
