My family found Kaia in 2019 in Bozeman at the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter. We immediately connected with her spunky personality and sweet demeanor. She has grown to be expressive and adventurous, and has become an icon in our parents neighborhood in Missoula County. Despite an active and healthy lifestyle, Kaia is more susceptible to ligament damage due to a few breeds in her mix. At a recent checkup at Missoula Veterinary Clinic, we learned that she has inflammation and arthritis in both back legs. In addition, she tore her right cranial cruciate ligament, and her left is also damaged, requiring surgery at Sentinel Health. Kai is adored by everyone in our family, and charms anyone she meets. She has her quirks that keep life interesting - she loves carrots but hates thunder, she talks when she’s excited, and boops you with her nose to check in. She’s a comforting presence and a great hiking partner. She absolutely loves snow and napping in odd positions. It’s hard for us to see Kai in pain. A double TPLO surgery is a massive unexpected expense, especially at a time when other big critical expenses are occurring. Getting outside with our dog and giving her a good life is incredibly important to us, and we could use some help.

We adopted greyson when he was 9 uears old. My ildest son was 8 years old at the time, and hes been with us since! He is now aboit 16 because i think he was younger but he is still old. He was here when my youngest was born. He is the most sweetest cat, such a gentleman never scratches and is never biting ever he would like the little one carey him around and everything and play with him. He is having bloddu stools, meowing. And peeing little, emergency vet says could be urinary blockage that could be fatal. He seems to be spacing out and leaving his foot up when cleaning and spacing out. He has been with us for over 10 years a nd my sons love him dearly, i call him my hairy baby and ildest son. Hes the most gentle and sweet cst the whole family loves him. He is wise and so smart and carinf. I am low income, single mother and a full time student. It would mean the world to my family to have our pet back to a healther cat, and thriving more. We would be devastated to lose him

I rescued my cat from someone on craigslist cause they couldn’t take care of her. I took her and they said that she was spayed and she wasn’t so I took her anyways I would’ve taken her if she was I wasn’t but I love her. She’s a part of her family and she is like a support system for me. So she had a delivery of two kittens that were still born and that they were early also, but she didn’t deliver like the placenta or whatever the last delivery material but the doctor said that she definitely needs to be spayed within the next couple of days and also possibly like an emergency DNC to make sure there’s nothing in her stomach and that was at the capital VETS Emergency Center, Montan my cat gets along with everybody all my grandkids love her they cuddle her. She goes him. She’s a very loving cat. She loves to snuggle and be up underneath somebody all the time. I I recently just had four surgeries and they are keeping me for returning to work so I applied for disability and I’m just waiting that doctor for disability deed me not to work so waiting for them to make a judgment times are really hard right now

My cat’s name is Meme She came into my life because I rescue her and she’s been with me for about three years. She is my support my sister, my everything. I just love her and she keeps me motivated every day. Meme talebecame pregnant and she had two stillborn kittens and two days later she is in labor again trying to have a stillborn that is still in her stomach. This is an emergency situation and she needs to have surgery and I can’t even afford to get that done. I just really need help please I need a favor She’s a loving, caring cat she cuddles loves takes care of everybody just looks out for the whole household. She’s gentle with my kids and my grandkids. Everybody doesn’t miss a beat. I just recently had three surgeries myself. I’m still out of work due to one of the surgeries and I am applying for disability and I’m in the last leg of the application.

Bruce came into our family when he was abandoned by his previous owner. He is the most lovable dog-like cat I have ever encountered. He is currently behind on his annual vaccinations and we are having trouble affording to get him into the vet! We are a 3-person family with 2 incomes but it is hard. Currently, Bruce's medical situation is okay. He has issues using the bathroom without making a mess on himself and he's been rather sluggish lately. He is friendly and lovable in every animal or human interaction! He is very lazy and overweight. We are concerned that he may have a thyroid issue at this time. To have my pet healthy again, would mean so much to me. Bruce has been my Emotional Support Animal for 2 years now and his health and happiness are one of my top priorities!

Ozzy came to us with a friend. He was given to her to help with her trauma (ESA). Ozzy lives in the house with two other well mannered dogs a young child and a large field to run. He loves playing fetch and loves hopping around in the snow mounds. He is a happy go lucky puppy. Ozzy was shot in the face. The impact broke his hyoid, his jaw and it left fragments of bone and lead throughout his neck. He has to undergo surgeries to attempt to fix the damage done. We have exhausted our resources. All we want is our puppy boy home safe. Ozzy is an ESA. His human needs him home. He is a springy bouncy boy who is living life as large as he can. He came from a bad background and placed with his human as a perfect match to help both heal by healing each other. Ozzy is an angel sent to his human. This is a very unexpected happening. No one knows what happened or who did it. All we know is he was shot and needs extensive care. After our last pet emergency, I signed up for care credit. We have exhausted the credit line with the first vet. We are on vet two now.

Honey is the sweetest baby born May 4th 2023 she has been a part of our family for 7 months. She lives with myself and my two young boys who love her dearly. Honey often times spends her days hackling our older cat who she absolutely adores and he adores her! She loves everyone she meets and is always up for the occasion to melt like honey in your hands. Honey is quite the interesting character, she typically sleeps flat on her back and often times resembles a little cat rug. She also does this hilarious thing when she's sitting where she's folded in half and will take a big sigh like her life is tough and she's pondering her future. Unfortunately Honey began limping about a week ago and since this weekend has become mostly immobile so away to the vet we went! After multiple xrays and some physical manipulation, the vet has concluded that both of her cranial cruciate ligaments were ruptured. This is like the animal version of an ACL. Given her age and lack of trauma it is deemed genetic degenerative ligaments. The cost to perform an Extra Capsular repair was quoted $6,500 to be paid prior to surgery. This technique include placing anchors in her femur and shin bone and creating an artificial connection to stabilize her knees. As a single mother and don't have the means to pay this

Four and a half years ago my husband had to retire from the military for medical reasons. My husband was taking it hard as the military had been his home for 30 years. I knew he needed a project to keep him busy and that he had always wanted an English Bulldog. So, I found my husband the perfect retirement "project," Sarge. Sargey Boy was the perfect addition to our family. Sarge firmly believes that he has a future spot in the NBA or helping professional weightlifters train for the deadlift. He loves his kiddie pool in the summer and insists that others get wet too. Sarge likes to go on walks as long as they are not too far and he likes to play fetch but first, you have to get the toy away from him, good luck with that. Sarge has several four-legged friends; there is Chevy the Beagle, Kylie the Chihuahua, Sloan the Gray Tabby cat, and Shelby the Calico cat. And Sarge has rarely found a treat that he doesn't like. In fact, he gets frustrated with his mom insisting that he keep his weight in check. In the winter Sarge loves to run through the snow like his butt is on fire. On June 9th Sarge was critically injured in a dog attack. I rushed him to our vet where they performed emergency surgery and other services. On June 11th he had to be transported to a 24hr Emergency and critical care facility, 120 miles away. He is struggling but each day he is making improvements. His treatment will be ongoing but once he is past the first 10-14 days his prognosis is great. This is a sudden and major expense that no one plans for. Add that to the fact that I am a full-time caregiver to my husband, a full-time student, and a mom and that makes this expense that much harder.
