Chico is a rescue dog, my late husband got him for me for my birthday 14yrs ago. We are assuming he was about a year old when we got him, he is a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. He is really one of the last things we have left associated to my husband ( we lost in 2015) please, I am currently fighting to get disability as I have a T-12 burst fracture and arthritis in both my knees. Please help us. He has really bad teeth, falling out, now one has I think fallen out and his mouth is bleeding, no hospitals will take him without payments,please help. He is my son’s best friend, they have grown up together and we all love him so so much, even my 15 yr old cat loves him they are buddies. He’s my handsome boy. It would mean so much to have him healthy, I have been trying to find a job, but with my disability it is hard. To know it’s just money that is preventing him from being healthy and being with us another 5 yrs is just heartbreaking

I adopted Poppy May near the coast in Oregon. I brought her home on the anniversary of the death of my big brother. Thus her name, Poppy for remembrance of the dead and May the month my brother was born. The day I brought her home was a blue bird morning and drove passed where my brother's ashes lay. I have been with her 24/7 since then. She gets me out of bed and engaged in live. Poppy May has 2 senior cats she lives with, her mom (me) and my husband. I am on disability so she is my constant companion. She knows all our family members by name when we speak of them. We have a group of friends, we call family that LOVE Poppy May. She is loving, emotionally intuitive and the sweetest little girl. Poppy May is a miniature Red Merle Australian Shepard. Poppy May looks up at anyone with her beautiful blue eyes.. they still take my breathe away. She has learned to fake a sneeze to get treats. She knows what it means to snuggle and give a hug. Actually, smarter than most of us. Poppy presents with crying and whimpering, limping and refusing play and walks. We took her to her primary vet who then referred us to an internist & neurologist. We are keeping her calm, comfortable and medicated with Carprovet & Gabepentin. Needs CT scan, spinal fluid. Possible lesion, meningitis or ruptured disc. We have a f/u in 4/3/24 I have a fixed income due to disability. I too have spine disease. I have had 7 spine surgeries and know how awful spine injuries are. Knowing her pain just kills me. It's as if she's trying to take my pain away.

We adopted Posey in 2016 as our family’s first pet. She has grown up as one of the kids and been a constant companion to them - playing games, napping on the couch, and snuggling with our morning coffee. Posey has grown up with our three boys and is the heart of our home—social, always finding a lap to sit in. Posey thrives in our house full of people, craving pets. Her 15lb Maltipoo pal is her wrestling and snuggling buddy. Posey always is down to hang out with new people and animals. She sits in a chair next to us at breakfast or when we’re working on a puzzle, enjoys wrestling with the dog, and letting you know if you’re not giving her enough attention. Posey had an intestinal blockage in February and required emergency surgery to save her life. After weeks in the hospital and recovering, she was back to health and feeling fine. Now she has developed bladder stones which is causing bleeding and severe discomfort. Medication hasn’t helped enough and she needs surgery to remove the stones. Because of the previous surgeries, we’ve drawn down our reserves and the some. Other than the bladder stones she’s perfectly healthy and could live many more years but we don’t have the resources for this final surgery.

So I am mommy to him. I am all he knows. At one week old my boyfriend saved his life...long story short he was a talker and the owners didn't like that wanted to end it. And my boyfriend couldn't let them so he took him and bought him home and I been mommy since. I love him he is so sweet and cute and I am so happy to be his mommy. Well he is only two almost 3 weeks and so he goes every where with me besides work of course and I don't let anyone hold him or anything he hides in my room so he has a higher chance of living. He makes this cute little noise in his sleep... like he dreaming. He is fast and learning things everyday like today started to give kisses he only will drink out of one nipple nothing else. Well I don't know I know he has a lot of shots due and I just want to make sure he is okay and if something is wrong be treated for him to live a happy life My 2 kids and I were just homeless in my car due to leaving dv we just got housed and I just got back to work so with him coming to me so unexpected i dont know what to do I know he needs to be seen I am his everything and he is mine:)
