Shirley

Shirley is a 3 year old Labrador Retriever in Middletown, CT, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Middletown, CT

Shirley is such a sweet gentle soul and came when we didn’t know how much we needed her. She is an huge part of the family and we want to do what’s best for her. Shirley and her dog sister Ellen were playing and Shirley yelped and came back to the room hopping on 3 legs. We brought her to the vet and she needs surgery on her ACL unfortunately we are not financially prepared and cannot afford that. Shirley loves everyone she meets. She is always so happy. She loves to lounge on the couch and look out the window. Sleeping is her favorite thing to do. Unfortunately the past year and a half has not been an easy one for us. I lost my mom just about a year ago unexpectedly and this came at a bad time financially. It would mean so much to have Shirley feeling like herself again.

Bruno

Bruno is a 13 year old Mix-Breed in West Haven , CT, who needs $1,000 for Mass Removal/ Biopsy.

West Haven, CT

Three years ago, Bruno came into our lives—a dog who spent his first decade in a cage, isolated except for daily feedings. He knew no other animals or loving family. Bringing him home was a journey of patience and love. From timid beginnings, he discovered joy in walks, play, and companionship with humans and dogs. Bruno's resilience and transformation remind us of the healing power of love. Recently, Bruno faced a new challenge when diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a type of cancer. The vet recommended surgical removal due to its location and potential to spread. This news was a shock, but we're hopeful that early intervention will give Bruno the best chance for a full recovery. The vet is Dr. Brooks Snowflake kennel. After our car accident, Bruno became our emotional anchor. As we healed, his unwavering presence brought comfort and joy. Each wag of his tail and gentle nuzzle lifted our spirits, easing the trauma. Bruno's loyalty and love transformed our home into a sanctuary, helping us rediscover happiness. His role as our emotional support became invaluable, strengthening our family bond. We're struggling financially due to overwhelming medical expenses within our family. Bruno's medical bills add to the burden, making it difficult to afford his care.
