Eli

Eli is a 8 year old Labrador Retriever in Hot Springs Village, AR, who needs $6,000 for Blood Transfusions and Post Surgery Recovery.

Hot Springs Village, AR

I found Eli as the runt of a Silver Lab litter in northwest Arkansas. He ran straight to me before I could enter the pen. I'm a disabled USMC combat veteran who lost my dog, who was left home while deployed in Afghanistan, and after medical separation, I was ready for Eli. He came into our lives right before my youngest son Elijah was born. Eli became Elijah's big brother dog. In June, Eli swallowed a golf ball. After emergency surgery to remove it, he seemed fine but kept getting sick. For months, nothing showed on imaging despite violent vomiting and dropping from 128 to 80 lbs. Finally, surgery at South County Animal Hospital found a remaining foreign object and damaged intestines. They repaired his digestive tract. He's now recovering well but still in vet care Eli is my road dog and Elijah's best friend. He dives underwater for rocks at the creek daily and retrieves anything that needs finding—it's his superpower. He's known at every gas station and pool we visit. He's been my constant companion through everything, even once staying protectively by my side during a medical emergency. Our other dog Neelu won't even eat without him here I'm a 90% disabled USMC veteran living on VA disability while finishing my degree (I graduate Nov 5th). I've spent over $3.5k since June and exhausted everything. Eli needs $6k+ to continue recovery. I'm one week from graduation and can't miss class. I owe him this chance.

Remo

Remo is a 1 year old German Shepherd Dog in Hackett, AR, who needs $2,000 for Feeding Tube, Reconstructive Jaw Surgery.

Hackett, AR • The Artemis Project

The Artemis Project Remo was found on a rural road in Arkansas, with severe trauma to his lower jaw and head. It is suspected that he was a victim of a gunshot. Remo was panicked, gravely injured, and all alone on the roadside. In his greatest moment of need, The Artemis Project crossed his path. They knew his story did not deserve to end there. Remo was immediately taken to Dr. Sharp at South County Animal Hospital. Due to the extensive trauma, he will need to have a portion of his lower jaw removed, as well as a of couple teeth. He will need a feeding tube for a short term of time, so that he can properly heal and receive the nutrients he needs. It will be a long road to recovery, but he is so deserving of a fighting chance. Remo is such a joy. All he wants is to receive the love that he has gone without for so long. He is now in a foster home, safe and cared for. He follows his foster mom around, providing so much happiness, and requiring so little attention or tending to. There will never be a sweeter shepherd dog than Remo. No animal should die without a chance of knowing love. Remo’s medical bills are far from cheap, but his value is so much more. Please help him on his journey back to health by donating to his campaign. Remo and The Artemis project appreciate any help you can give.

Photo of Dahlia

Dahlia

Dahlia is a 3-year-old Daschund/Chihuahua in Morrilton, AR, who needs $2,000 for Spinal Surgery.

Morrilton, AR

Dahlia came into our lives when she was just weaned, as a gift. That was 3 years ago. Flowers are one of my favorite things and Dahlia just seemed to fit her perfectly so that is how she got her name. We also have 3 other dogs that joined us later on, we rescued them from different situations along the way and they just became part of the family. We currently live in a house with a yard. Dahlia and the others sleep curled up together in my room. Her favorite toys are stuffed toys and her orange pretzel. Some of her favorite things to do are wrestling with one of our other dogs that is bigger than her because she always gets to win, she loves to lay on her back in the sun, and hanging upside down, being under a nice warm blanket. Her nickname is Bat Baby and she has a sassy side. She is shy at first, but when she warms up to people she loves everybody, especially when she gets belly rubs. She loves to hang upside down which is how she got her nickname of Bat Baby. When she's mad at you she will turn her back to you and give you the side eye and when she wants attention she gets very vocal to let you know if you don't give it to her quick enough. Dahlia was perfectly healthy until 3 weeks ago when she started having spinal issues. She has lost feeling and is now paralyzed in her hind legs. We took her to her regular vet, Magie Vet Clinic, who told me that she will need surgery. I plan on taking her to Rohlman Animal Hospital to get more testing and discuss surgical options and referrals. Due to health issues I am not working and my husbands income is very limited and goes to bills. I need to be able to get her the care she needs. She has been more than a dog to us, more than a pet, she brings love and joy to all of us and helps me through my health issues.

Spunky

Spunky is a 3-month-old Cat in Charleston , AR, who needs $800 for Vaccinations, Wellness Visit and Spay.

Charleston, AR

My daughter rescued Spunky about 2 months ago we found her outside my friends apartment complex and she looked like she was dying. She now sleeps in my bed and has plenty of toys. However my boyfriend just left me and my daughter and I are currently living on social security. So we are trying to get assistance with shots and getting her spayed. She is a sweetheart she's super happy. She runs around and jumps in our laps to sleep or be pet. She is definitely spoiled we even take her with us on short trips to town She loves riding along in the car! She has an ecstatic, hyperactive tendency and loves feet. She will literally grab on to the back of my legs and drag herself behind me. Like she's catching a ride lol. She ran into the door when my daughter shut it one day and we thought she was a gonner, however I took her to this vet and they said no broken bones and helped me with medicine to ease her pain. She is back to herself now but needs shot and a wellness visit. And spayed We just had a house fire a couple months ago, we lost everything and im currently waiting to start a job on August 28th, also going to online college. My boyfriend of 7 years also just left us with no money or anything

Remi

Remi is a 4-year-old Retriever Mix in Farmington, AR, who needs $2,000 for ACL Repair.

Farmington, AR

I rescued Remi from a backyard breeder. She was from a farm calling her a “Black Goldendoodle”. She was the smallest of all pups and I got to take her home with me. We’ve been best pals ever since. She’s funny, smart and so lovable! Now she has a bum knee that I can’t afford to take care of. Please help! Remi lives with me and three other animals. A big floof ball, Rex, a cataract kitty, Melody and a shelter cat, Roxy. She’s loves her siblings and protects them with everything she’s got. Her sassy personality has me laughing all the time. She’s not fond of strangers, but loves my nieces and nephews. Remi came into my life the same time I thought it was ending. Not because I was sick, it was a heart break. She mended my heart like no other and has kept me sane since. She sleeps on my feet every night. She’s vocal beyond belief. She’s sassy and demanding but also has the sweetest heart. I love her beyond measure! Being a “doodle” mix, Remi has some ligament issues. She already tore her ligaments in her right knee this time last year and I’m still making payments on that surgery. Now it’s her left knee and I can’t afford it with everything else life is throwing at me. I hate seeing her in pain and only want to make her feel better like she has me. Life. Paying on her previous surgery STILL. Inflation, school. It’s all overwhelming and any little bit goes a LONG way. Asking for assistance is outside of my comfort zone. We do anything for our pets though!

Photo of Burksy

Burksy

Burksy is a 11-month-old Goldendoodle in Hot Springs, AR, who needs $2,000 for Fracture Repair.

Hot Springs, AR

We got Burksy as a Puppy, my son (8 years old) has debilitating anxiety and we were told that a therapy dog might help him, he picked Burksy and they have been inseparable ever since! He got Burksy at 8 weeks old on his 8th birthday, and so far anytime that his anxiety spikes, Burksy has been right there and helped him through it! Burksy loves to be with his person, 8 year old little boy, he loves to fetch tennis balls and run. He also loves to swim at the lake and play in the water! He is a silly, clumsy puppy, and is so very loved by the whole family! Until he slipped and broke his leg, he has always been an active playful cuddlebug! He is 80 pounds but still acts thinks he is a small lap dog! He will play fetch non-stop for hours at a time, as long as someone will throw a ball, he will play! He loves to run and swim, he is very clumsy, and sometimes swims too far out and has to be "rescued" or pushed back in. He also love to lay in my bed, right in the middle of it, even though he has his own bed in every bedroom in our house. Burksy broke his leg on December 23rd, he has been in a cast since then and unfortunately it is not healing right, we are faced with a decision on an expensive surgery or an amputation. He is not quite a year old and is so active that we are scared the amputation may make him less active and playful! My husband lost his job as a Loan Officer the end of 2022, we have been struggling to pay our house bills much less an expense of this size. It would mean the world to a very concerned little boy and our entire family to have our furbaby back and healed!

Pippin

Pippin is a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd mix in Springdale, AR, who needs $2,000 for media patella luxation repair.

Springdale, AR

We had to have our Yorkie, Bella, put to sleep in the fall of 2018. Both my husband and I missed having a dog. So I answered an ad for free puppies, and picked the cutest one of the bunch. She and my husband became fast friends and she loved to be in his lap, or sitting at his feet. She was well behaved when taken to the nursing home to visit with Dale. Pippin lets me know when anyone approaches the house, but quickly reacts positively to my acceptance of the individual. After my husband's death in June, she has become my emotional support dog.
