Jack was abandoned at the age of 6 months in Jackson, TN;, and spent 6 months in a shelter before finding us, as we were grieving the loss of our previous dog. While at the shelter, Jack "bounced" out of nowhere with a ball, and immediately bonded with us. We kept his original name of Jack. Today, Jack is my only pet-a playful, high-energy cuddler who brings so much joy to my life. Jack has a right cruciate ligament rupture and needs surgery as soon as possible. He is currently uncomfortable and limping, which breaks my heart. I miss our walks in the park, and he does too! My wish is for Jack to have this surgery so he can be the active, playful dog he was meant to be. I just want him back and pain free. He is being treated at South Creek Animal Hospital, in Manteno, IL Jack is everything to me, as I have no family members. He is truly all I have. He is a social butterly who lives for attention and whines until someone pets him or plays with him. We are inseparable-from car ridges to long walks in the park, and playing with his toys and rough housing. He goes everywhere with me. Seeing him unable to interact and play is heartbreaking. As a senior on a fixed income, this is an unexpected expense. I used my savings for a previous surgery for Jack to remove a lump near his eye, and I have nothing left for this urgent need.He is my everything, and I am heartbroken that I cannot afford this on my own.
