Help Bowser Beat Heartworm Disease

Fort Wayne, IN • Beagles R Us Rescue

At 10 years old, Bowser should be spending his golden years surrounded by comfort, safety, and love. Instead, this sweet senior Beagle was found wandering as a stray with no home to call his own. Bowser eventually ended up at the Henderson County Shelter in Kentucky, where his future was uncertain. Then came more difficult news: Bowser tested positive for heartworm disease. For a senior dog who had already endured life as a stray, it was yet another heartbreaking obstacle. Thankfully, Bowser’s story didn’t end at the shelter. Beagles R Us Rescue stepped in and gave him the second chance he desperately needed. Now, Bowser needs help on the next part of his journey. Heartworm disease is serious and potentially life-threatening, and treatment can be a long, difficult process. Bowser deserves the veterinary care he needs to fight this disease and finally experience the safe, healthy life he has been missing for far too long. Please donate today to help cover Bowser’s veterinary care and heartworm treatment. Every dollar helps get him closer to being ready to find his forever family.

Help Emma Recover From Spleen Surgery

Fort Wayne, IN • Beagles R Us Rescue

Emma was already dangerously close to losing her life once. This sweet senior girl and her bonded companion, Casey, were surrendered to the Nicholas County Animal Shelter in Summersville, West Virginia. Confused, vulnerable, and suddenly without a home, the pair faced the terrifying risk of euthanasia. Thankfully, Beagles R Us Rescue in Indiana stepped in before it was too late. Emma and Casey were rescued together, giving these devoted senior companions the second chance they desperately deserved. They were finally safe—but then came devastating news about Emma’s health. Veterinary testing revealed a large mass attached to Emma’s spleen. It had grown so large that it was putting pressure on her other organs. Emma needed major surgery, and her rescuers once again had to fight for her life. Emma successfully underwent surgery to remove the mass and her spleen and is now back with her foster family, eating, resting, and slowly regaining her strength. And after an agonizing wait, her rescue finally received the news everyone had been praying for: the growths were benign and no cancer cells were found. It was an enormous relief but Emma’s fight has left her Beagles R Us Rescue with a staggering veterinary bill that came in even higher than the original estimate. Emma survived the threat of euthanasia. She survived major surgery. Now, she needs your help. Her rescue refused to give up on her when she was at risk in the shelter. They refused to give up when a frightening mass threatened her health. They gave this senior girl the chance to heal, to feel comfortable again, and to spend her later years knowing what it means to be safe and loved. Please donate today to help pay for Emma’s surgery and veterinary care. Every dollar helps ease the burden of her medical bills and ensures that Beagles R Us Rescue can continue stepping up for vulnerable senior dogs like Emma—dogs who still have so much love and life left to give.

We found Teddy at a Rescue he was a litter of 9, he is an only pet and is our loved big boy. He is a pitbull mix with alot of love. Teddy loves his walks and can't do them right now Teddy has to take medication every 12 hours for his seizures, he is a very active boy and about 2 years ago he tore his ccl in his left leg and had to have surgery and is doing well. And now he tore his ccl in his right knee and needs to have surgery on that knee now. Teddy is such a lover he protects his family and always is so happy when we come home he wags his tail and just loves on us and hugs us. He can give high fives and follows commands pretty good. Iam only working part time right now and starting a second job. I need to have Teddy's knee fixed because he can't go his whole life with a tore ccl and be in so much pain

Kola

Kola is a 9 year old German Shepherd Dog in Saint Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Treatment for Addisons.

Saint Paul, MN

We adopted her from a well known breeder. She's a well behaved and well mannered dog. She's been in good health until recently. She just wants to love everyone. Addison's disease, and kidney problems will need hospitalization, and treatment. A monthly injection and check-ups with the vet, plus other medications. Loves her mom and dad and "big brother". She's a social butterfly, and general lover. Very enthusiastic greeter of people. Even likes to meet other dogs. Retired seniors. Limited income. They don't have a lot of extra income. The diagnosis was sudden., and caught them at a bad time financially. Any help is most welcome.

Bambi

Bambi is a 2 month old Mix-Breed in Saint Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Cleft Palate Surgical Repair.

Saint Paul, MN

Bambi is an amazing Cane Corso/American Bully mix puppy. She is two months old, and when she was born she was 1/4 the size of the other puppies. She lives with my family, which is my wife, and our children (son and 4 daughters). We instantly fell in love with Bambi, and she was unable to latch onto her mother to feed, and was rejected by her mother. She has a cleft palate. Bambi was born with a cleft palate and has never been able to drink through her mother or through a bottle. We have to tube feed her every meal, and due to her cleft, saliva gets into her nose which causes her to sneeze quite often, which requires surgery to fix. Southview Animal Hospital in West St. Paul is going to perform her surgery and they are ready to do her surgery as soon as we can. Bambi is a member of our family, basically like a newborn baby, having to be tube fed every couple of hours, and requiring constant supervision. She is the sweetest puppy, who is suffering everyday until her cleft is fixed. She is at constant risk of aspiration pneumonia due to her cleft and having a hole in the roof of her mouth causing there to be no separation between her mouth and nose. We are a fixed income family with two disabled members, and helping Bambi would mean everything to us. We have been trying everything we can to raise the money for the surgery, and Bambi is at risk everyday the surgery is not performed. Please Help.

Juice

Juice is a 3 year old American Longhair in West St Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Cystotomy.

West St Paul, MN

We adopted Juice in August 2021 after finding his profile online while he was in a foster home—we knew instantly he was meant to be ours. Known as Juice, Little Man, Juicey Boy, and Fluffy Man, he’s the sweetest cat we’ve ever met and happily shares his space with his sister, Luna. Our sweet boy Juice has been through so much lately. After struggling with chronic vomiting and blood in his urine, he was diagnosed with urolithiasis and needed surgery to remove painful bladder stones. Juice stayed overnight at the vet and had to go back three times for follow-ups, revealing additional complications. We’re doing everything we can for him, but we need help to cover his care. Juice is the most talkative cat I have ever come across. He will have full conversations with you. His favorite toys are anything on a string. Juicey loves to lay directly on your chest and recieve pets. He even jumps into your hand if you’re petting him. We recently used our savings to book our wedding, leaving us unprepared for unexpected vet bills. What started as a routine check-up for Juice turned into surgery, overnight care, and follow-ups due to complications. We’re doing all we can but need help covering his care.

Farmington, MN

I rescued him from a charity about a year ago. He's made my life so much happier since I lost my other fur baby. Right now we are staying with family and he just loves the other cats He loves to play with my other cat. Loves to eat treats and run around the house. He sleeps by my feet every night. He just has his own unique personality that I love. He's the family cat, I love him dearly. He's such a sweet boy and loves my daughter and she loves him it would break my heart if I lost him and my daughter lost her furry friend So my baby boy has been having trouble pooping. I've tried home remedies and nothing is helping. I want to take him to the vet but don't have any money to get him treatment I'm worried it's gonna cost about a grand depending on what they find I am currently a stay at home mom, struggling financially already and don't have much money to help my baby boy feel better. It would make me a lot more less stressed if I can get him help to feel better. I lost a cat last year back in February and don't want to lose him.

Mischa

Mischa is a 10-month-old German Shepherd Mix in Farmington, MN, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Repair.

Farmington, MN

Mischa came to us from rescue shortly after we had to unexpectedly put our first dog, Isis, down. We instantly knew there was something special about Mischa. She has been an awesome addition to our family, and she is particularly smitten with our little girls. Mischa is pretty spoiled around here. She loves to play with the girls and run in the yard with our other dog, Tucker. She gets a ton of belly rubs (it's never truly enough though if you ask her!) and is such a ball of energy. Mischa is the first of our pets that has really "clicked" with our girls. The other pets enjoy being around the girls, but Mischa seeks them out out. She follows them around and makes sure they're safe. She plays so well with them and knows not to get too carried away when it comes to the girls. Mischa hurt her leg on August 12. We have no idea how it happened, but she was limping quite a bit. Unfortunately, by Monday she was still limping and her leg was beginning to look swollen. We took her to see her regular vet and they discovered she had a spiral fracture on a good portion of her leg. Surgery was recommended. The surgeon consulted and agreed as did two other vets. 2023 has been a particularly difficult year for us. The quote for Mischa's surgery has increased due to the severity and placement of the fracture. We hesitated to create a fundraiser like this, but anything helps right now.

Ganon

Ganon is a 11-year-old Border Collie x Rat Terrier in Minneapolis , MN, who needs $1,500 for Oral Surgery with Extractions.

Minneapolis, MN

Ganon is an 11yo Border Collie x Rat Terrier mix. Far too much energy still, even after aging 11 years. I've had him his entire life pretty much, and he's just as energetic and lovey as ever. He also very much likes to try to herd any dogs he comes across, much to their confusion. Snuggliest, goofiest, loudest fella, too. Ganon's pretty much my "partner Pokemon", as my partner puts it, but holy heck does he absolutely adore my partner too. He tries really hard to get along with his cat-fam too, but it isn't exactly wanted on their end. He's the "new" pet still to them - Floyd is 16 and Harvey is 14. Floyd doesn't mind him and uses him as a bed sometimes, Harvey can't stand him - but tolerates him most of the time. Gan's such a strange dood. He either loves or hates so many TV jingles, themes, commercials, and same with music in general - he's either singing along, or protesting my tastes. Not sure still. Adventure Time def can't be watched if the theme plays, though. Otherwise, he just wants to snuggle up with either / both of us at all times possible. Even sits at the table when he's feeling left out. Gan's gone most his life without issues, except his teeth. He's absolutely not okay with having them brushed - not even trying to train him to tolerate it since he was a pup, he absolutely hates anywhere near his mouth. He needs most, maybe all removed, and we cannot afford a $1500-ish bill. Our veterinarian uses Care Credit / Scratch Pay, but we were denied when applying. I've developed worsening health issues of my own, which has led to being on LOA sporadically. This makes it a whole lot harder to set money aside when there isn't anything left over to set aside, especially not $1500ish. I just want him to feel better, and I'm at a loss.

Raven

Raven is a 10-year-old Black Lab/Golden Retriever in West St. Paul, MN, who needs $2,000 for Left Perianal Tumor Removal.

West St. Paul, MN

My son Ben found Raven on vacation from a family trying to pass them off as AKC black labs but they showed him the mom & dad. He was drawn to Raven as she was half the size of the rest of them. The man said you don't want her she's the runt we were just going to put her down! He said this is exactly the one I want! Once my son returned to school Raven & I formed an inseparable bond like no other! Even though Raven was my son's dog originally she quickly became my emotional support/service dog. She was very easily trained at home. She began sleeping with me, pulling me up the last few steps, pulling my laundry cart, pulling me out of my depression. She helped me get up in the morning physically & mentally, get out of the house, go places & interact with people. She lived to help the Grama! Raven is smart & is the happiest, most friendly, sweetest, most sensitive dog. She'll take a treat from your mouth without touching you except her whiskers & wow you with her tricks! We have a favorite song we sing & dance to she recognizes when it comes on. She loves rolling in the grass, even more in the snow & LOVES playing hide & seek with me & my granddaughter! She puts smiles on everywhere. Raven has a perianal tumor that's growing fast towards her anus. If it gets there it will make her incontinent & she'll lose control of her bowels. It also should be removed to be biopsied to make sure it's benign. The veterinary hospital is bringing in a specialist to do the surgery & said prognosis is real good. Without it she will go downhill. I can't let that happen! I'm on social security disability & spend what little disposable income I have on my animals. Raven is my heart & soul & to have this removed would mean the world to me & her. She's got good years left in her, she's otherwise strong & healthy.
