When my boyfriend and I came to the decision to adopt another cat, it was mainly because our resident nine year old cat seemed lonely. Only a few weeks after, a coworker's friend had a kitten wander up to their porch. I sent the picture to my boyfriend on the whim because hey, cute baby. Despite him being at work, he almost immediately told me that this one spoke to him; this was our new daughter. Jinjo's actual diagnosis is currently up in the air. It is between two options; stomatitis, or juvenile gingivitis (lovingly earning her the nickname jinjovitis with one of her nurses). The actual diagnosis will require her being sedated, as she's in too much pain to alone anyone, even us to look in her mouth. It may go away on it's own, in one more year, or she may need a full extraction. She's our yin to our yang, as her dad puts it. She's just as talkative, if not moreso than her yapper of a brother. They get into loudness competitions as dinner is being made, and mimics a Geiger counter when she purrs. Her namesake is apparently a bird, but she sounds like a small horse when she runs. Her favorite toys are a chicken leg, and my collection of classic beanie babies that she steals We simply don't have the funds nor do we qualify for either of the financing options the vet has. We've only had her for roughly four months, between her flare-ups she is such a lively and sassy girl. An extrovert in a amongst introverts; she completes our family.
