We met Stella in 2016 at the green county humane society! We went in there wanting to purchase a different dog that we ended up not getting. As we were leaving Stella came to us and started jumping on me, we knew it was meant to be. Our kids fell in love with her and she’s been spoiled since! Stella was a healthy pup despite being a surrender. After 3 years of having her she developed allergies. It started minor and required OTC allergy meds. However, it slowly decided to not work. We got apoquel. It seems to work but it’s pricy and then her skin breaks out causing infections on her skin and severe illness and her being uncomfortable. My kids love her! She’s our daily walking buddy, loves to play fetch and runs the kids out of energy just as much as they do her. She’s a pup at heart and we hate seeing her suffer and not be able to interact with my kids. We became a family of 4 with one income due to the pressing cost of daycare. The vet has told us the best route is to see a dermatologist which is pricy. We need immediate care as she is miserable and losing weight..
