SweetPea
SweetPea is a 14 year old Mix-Breed in St Petersburg, FL, who needs $2,000 for Cardiologist -X-Rays, Ultrasound, Bloodwork etc.
St Petersburg, FL
SweetPea was a rescue from the local humane society...she was the tiniest little itty bitty thing & when she saw me she climbed up the cage bars and reached out & grabbed me begging me to take her home...so I did! She had a horrible sinus infection & wasn't eating because she couldn't smell her food so for the first few days until the antibiotics cleared that up I had to syringe feed her. About 2 years ago she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism & apparently it is common for cats with that to develop congestive heart failure...which she has. We have already spent over $1000 on vet bills & she NEEDS to see a specialist but we just do not have the money...if I did I would hand it over without question. We desperately need help to help her & it is eating me up that I may not be able to help her simply because I don't have the finances to. She is a very special little girl, her other kitties & her puppy love her & are very worried about her. She is a very unique & loving sensitive girl when you understand her & how she communicates. All I want is to be able to get her the help she needs. I will happily eat mac & chees & ramen noodles forever to save every penny I can to help her but the fact is we don't have the money for the specialist that she needs to see to get the medication she needs & any help you can provide no matter how small means the world to us!

Charli
Charli is a 10-year-old Lab in Largo, FL, who needs $2,000 for Surgical Excision of Mass in Chest Wall.
Largo, FL
We adopted Charli for my grandson, he was 6 and Charli was 4. Charli's owner had passed away and she needed a home. We fell in love with her instantly. Charli is a sweet chocolate lab/Weimaraner mix. She has always been and remains playful, energetic and silly. She has brought us a world of joy & love. When my daughter adopted a smaller dog, they made friends right away and Charli loves him. Charli lives in my home because when we adopted her, they were not able to have dogs where my grandson lived. For that reason she obviously became very attached to me. She had some anxiety when we adopted her, I believe because of her original owner passing away. She likes to lay up on the couch, and on our bed. She also always has her own big, cushy bed. She loves everyone in our family. Charli is a character, lol. She does not like being left alone. If we can't bring her with us, she will push all her food out of the bowl into the floor or water bowl, chew the door knobs, her bed and area rugs. After she takes a drink, she will be sure to come over and wipe her wet snout on your pants! If she does not get petted right away, she will nudge with her cold nose until she gets pets! Charli has had some small, benign lipomas. When the lump on her chest wall appeared, I could tell it was different, very hard, growing very fast. Her vets at Banfield Largo Mall PetSmart did a needle biopsy. Diagnosis was soft tissue Sarcoma. By this point it was 16cm x 12cm x 5cm. It has now developed a scab that is weeping. She can no longer lay on her belly comfortably and is having discomfort. Charli needs surgery urgently. The danger of infection or rupture of the tumor can quickly put her in a life threatening situation. I am on SSD due to Lupus. I do not have credit cards available to pay for Charlie's surgery. Her surgery is $3200.

Furgi
Furgi is a 1-year-old Pitbull Mix in Saint Petersburg, FL, who needs $2,000 for Ulna Ostectomy.
Saint Petersburg, FL
Furgi was surrendered a few months ago to the Humane Society before a major hurricane with a known wrist injury. Our family adopted her because of how much of a sweetheart and loving dog she is to our family. We took her to a specialist to find out she has severe elbow dysplasia and needs to have surgery. As a young family of 4, this costly surgery was unexpected. We are reaching out for help. Furgi is wonderful with our two young children (ages 1 and 4). My 4 year old has such a special bond with Furgi. They sleep together, eat together, just about everything. Furgi also gets along with our cat that we had prior to adopting her. She is always excited and happy to see everyone who comes over. She loves running outside (for a short period of time because of the injury). Furgi is special because she completed the missing piece of our heart we didn’t know we needed at the time. We had just lost our previous dog, Savana (who is a COPY PASTE of Furgi) unexpectedly a few days after the hurricane hit that destroyed Fort Myers. As we drove by this sheltered, we figured why not let’s just see what’s here. We took Furgi home for a sleepover and the rest is history. We were told when adopting her she had a wrist injury. We didn’t know what happened, but it seemed like a little bit of a limp. After having her for a few months, it’s been getting progressively worse. We took her to a great specialist in the area who examined her with X-rays. She has severe elbow dysplasia that needs immediate attention. Our home burned down 5 years ago and contractor hired stole $100,000 insurance money and didn’t complete the work. So we have been struggling financially for repair our house. Furgi is family so we need help to fix her issue so she can live pain free and happily.

Gunner
Gunner is a 7-year-old English Mastiff in Pinellas Park, FL, who needs $2,000 for Ulna Ostectomy.
Pinellas Park, FL
It was recommended my grandsons get a therapy dog as kids with traumatic past/situation been known to help. We got Gunner at 8 week's old. He is a English Mastiff & Tibetan Mastiff mix. We immediately started him in private training sessions as he was to be a service dog. He also is great therapy for the boys. He has calmed them down alot. Gunner has been a big help in calming the boys down. I got the boys June 2021 out of state foster. The youngest drowned in thier care. 4 round cpr saved his life. Gunner has definitely improved these boys life. Gunner lays by them wherever they are. I have videos of Jordan training Gunner, so it was teaching both of them lessons. Gunner is such a good boy, everyone he meets comments of how he is. Gunner has passed 2 puppy classes and also has his AKC S.T.A.R. certificate. He was in his junior class and preparing for next step in training when this all hit. Even with all the changes he kept his goofy loving demeanor. He loves to play catch and tug of war. And to swim with the boys. He also sleeps with the boys nightly, they love it. I work atGateway Animal Hospital. Gunner goes to work with me, my boss has seen him several times a week. When that weekend he changed drastically I took him to work that morning and straight to the doctor. We were all shocked to see it. We did sedated xrays and sent off to Radiologist. Took him to Dr Oakes Orthopedic vet. Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialist. Now trying to raise funds to save him. If Gunner doesn't get this surgery he will have to be euthanized as he is in pain. These boys are so attached to him and have already lost parents, I hate the thought of them losing thier puppy. I am a single grandmother trying to maintain a house with 2 small boys alone.

Mammoth
Mammoth is a kitten in Gulfport, FL, who needs $1,800 for a dislocated ankle.
Gulfport, FL
Hi I found my kitten when she was 1 week old on this website called Nextdoor she was a stray with her 2 other siblings. Right when I saw her my eyes lite up in love. My name is ilsa which is different so I named my baby mammoth cause nobody names there kitten. She lives in my house with my family but spends most of her time in my room. We kinda have an separation anxiety when we are apart. Well for me she loves to bite me when we play and cuddles anywhere she wants. When I leave the room she takes my spot on the bed. For my sister she loves to bit her and licks her a lot and she doesn’t even do that with me. For my mom she loves to rub on her leg and chase her feet when she is walking or sweeping. My step dad is allergic so he can’t be around her that much but he still cares for Her Well I’m 16 years old and thought I could take care of this kitten amazing but life really hit my in the face with this one my mom is taking care of me and my sister and 3 dogs and my step dad is too. Well my kitten was jumping on my bed and missed and her back foot got caught up on my bed frame and she spun in circles to break free and I tried to help and she was crying so loud and limping. And we just got her x rayed and it shows she got a dislocated ankle and might need a metal bar in her leg to help her move or amputated it but every time i look it is imma feel like it is my fault. My kitten a jump so high up it is crazy and when we sweep omg she acts like all the dog hair is her best friends and picks is up and defends the pill of dog hair like is so funny. My kitten used her back legs to hit things when she is fighting it or anything. I take my kitten on walks sometimes and I walked with her without holding the leash and she will follow me everywhere and jumps on trees.
