Lobo came into our lives from Craigslist. A family could no longer care for him and was giving him away. My kids and I picked him up and he was very scared for the first 3 months of him being with us but now he has really become a part of our family. Lobo is now an inside dog and spends his days with his mom who works from home. He is a shadow that follows from room to room. Lobo is such a smart dog it is unbelievable. He is so careful with my kids 6, and 8. For being a 110lb dog he is a gentle giant. His favorite thing to do is go on car rides and watch other dogs at the dog beach. He is a very loyal boy. He is so well behaved besides digging in the trash while we aren’t watching. He takes up a whole king size bed and we love it. Lobo has a great personality. He is the goofy dog. My favorite thing he does is sleep in my shower. It’s so funny. If we can’t find him around the house I ask “did anyone check the shower” and sure enough there he is behind the curtain. What makes me smile about him the most is when he lays in front of my kids rooms while they are sleeping like he’s protecting them. Poor lobo has been through a lot. After getting him from Craigslist I took him to the vet for a physical and found out he had heartworms. Shortly after that he suffered a CCL tear and now requires surgery. Lobo has never got to enjoy just being a dog since we got him. He had to be sedentary during heartworm treatment and now this tear. It would mean so much for him to just do normal dog things. The surgery is around $6000 and is a significant financial strain.
