We got Smokey from a litter on a barn for our daughter Emilia’s 8th birthday. She named him Smokey because of his fur colors and because it was the name of the cat that her grandmother had when she passed away. We have 2 other pets they are dogs. They are American Pitbull Terriers. Smokey was born on April 26th and our 2 dogs were born on June 16th. We got all 3 of them around the same time. He is Emmy’s best friend. Emilia can’t sleep without him. Our 2 dogs and him are best buds, also. They play together and they protect each other. We all love Smokey so much. Our family and household just would never be the same without him. He has the best personality. He’s so loving and so wild at the same time. Complete sweetheart and I just don’t know what we would do without him It would mean the world to me, Emilia, and our whole family. The dogs have been like sad since he’s been sick and Emilia and my fiancée Corrine have been crying all night and day for 2 days. Every dime I had went to rent/bills. We can’t even afford the check up. For the last 2 days he has been breathing really hard with an open mouth and moaning and crying really bad when you touch him I believe it may hurt him and he won’t really open his eyes and when he does it’s very little and his eye is almost completely black and watery. He doesn’t want to move or walk around anywhere and normally he’s very active. We have tried multiple vets and animal hospitals. Smokey still nurses. When he goes to sleep he purs really loud. He lays up under you and uses his paws to find a wrinkle in your clothing and/or pillowcase next to you and nurses on the wrinkle until he falls asleep with you. I love it. It melts my heart. He’s very playful and loves looking in the mirror.
