Shelby

Shelby is a 10 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Albuquerque, NM, who needs $2,000 for Exploratory Abdominal Surgery.

Albuquerque, NM

She was a rescue form about 5 years, and it feel like we had her in are life for ever, she the spunkiest little terrier, and while we try to give her the best life she also has teh hardest life as we cant always help her like we want to. She has two problems but the most prominent is that she has a tumor on her liver or near the liver and lately she has been having darker Poop and diaherra, and throwing up far more. the second issue is her teeth are bad and the pound did not want to pay for it removal which we came to find out later. we treat all are dogs like are children but she special cause of how near human she is, she'll get are attention by barking at us and lead us to the kitchen and look at us then the fridge when she hungry. the vet we went to said that it will cost upward to 4000 to do the surgery and that not counting the ultrasound biopsy they need to do for her which will cost 1000 so were looking at 5000 total sadly. So any help is much welcomed,

Layla

Layla is a 6-year-old Tuxedo Domestic Shorthair Cat in Sandia Park, NM, who needs $600 for Dental Surgery.

Sandia Park, NM

We adopted Layla instead of my son's dad surrendering her-she was meowing all night. I immediately took her to TLC Pet Hospital in Albuquerque. It was my suspicion she needed to see a vet. She didn't have feline leukemia or parasites. I had her shots updated. Turns out she has a cavity or cracked tooth. No wonder she was meowing all night! We brought her home & have been able to adjust better The vet showed my son & I Feliway and that worked magic- she stopped meowing at night! Wesequestered Layla in her own room & took her on short walks carrying her. She stays in your arms! Then when we felt she knows her home, we taught her how to use the cat door we installed in the window. We built a ramp too! I enjoy clicker training with Layla - now she comes when I call and gets in her carrier! Layla loves cat nip on the scratcher, taking dirt baths in the yard, stretching on her side as we pet her, playing with a ping pong ball & hunting birds. She caught the woodpecker that pecked on our house for years. She is 6 and can learn lots of new things! We adopted kittens but haven't introduced them because she's in pain & drools. I'm not sure the meeting will go well until after she's healed Dr. Liz Georges at TLC Pet Hospital examined Layla- surgery requires her to go under general anesthesia. It's an intense process -there's tests that have to be done to make sure she's healthy enough to go under anesthesia. I was prepared for basic costs of pet care- even got pet insurance. It will cover $100 dental cleaning. SAFETYNET with ANIMAL HUMANE will cover $800. I ask for $600 or any $ I am a person living with a disability & have acquired brain injury. I had to quit my job because I experience a lot of fatigue. Thankfully I get a disability payment it'll take 3 full months to cover a $1500 surgery. It means a lot to be able to keep my son's cat. Thank you

Dahlia

Dahlia is a six-year-old Chihuahua mix in Albuquerque, NM, who needs $1,400 for urgent hip surgery.

Albuquerque, NM

It certainly is not the holiday season Sunnie E. and her family expected. Their beloved dog, Dahlia, was hit by a car and now needs an urgent operation to repair her broken hip. "The surgery and some at-home physical therapy after surgery should vastly improve her quality of life," Sunnie tells Waggle. Sunnie is relieved to have a solution to stop Dahlia's suffering, but there is another problem: They don't have the money to pay for the operation. "Dahlia means the world to my family," Sunnie says. "I would be eternally grateful for any help that we can get her. My family is just not financially capable of affording her surgery on our own right now. My husband works six days a week, and I am due to have our third son on December 13th." The family is hoping kind pet lovers will help them raise the money for the surgery at TLC Pet Hospital and help Dahlia return to her spunky self. "Before her accident, Dahlia stayed very active and loved playing with my boys and our other dog," Sunnie says. "Whenever we come home, she is so very happy to greet us. Even as her injured self, she scoots and hobbles up to say "hello" to any member of the family and makes sure to get belly pettings." Dahlia also holds a tremendous place in Sunnie's heart. "I got her from a friend back in 2017. My father and mother had just recently passed away, and it was a very difficult time for my children and me. Dahlia really lifted our spirits. Throughout the years, she has kept us all very close and comforted. She was and is still a blessing to our little family. We want her to have the best life possible life as she has given us!" Please give to help Dahlia get back on all four feet again.

Angel

Angel is a 11-year-old Shepherd/Husky in Freeport , IL, who needs $950 for Laser therapy .

Freeport, IL

I found Angel at a shelter, she was 4mo. old sickly and underweight. Angel was born at the shelter called Angel rescue, they named her after their shelter and I kept her name, because she had angelic eyes (blue) and the sweetest soul. I’ve had her for 11 years now, she has always been healthy until last yr when she went blind. She has a lab 10, and a cat 17 for siblings. She’s my heart dog! Angel has always slept in bed with me, and when she went blind I put my bed on the floor so she could sleep with me. Angel loves car rides, the dog park, she loves to play keep away from me! She loves her treats, I dehydrate yams, chicken, beef, and liver for her. If she can’t find me, I just say Angel where are you and she comes to me. She’s protective but very loving toward everyone. I’m single and on disability. Angel deserves help I can’t afford. I want to see her being able to walk without falling even for small walks. I stopped my medication to help her and she’s wanting to do things on her own still. Angel went blind a yr ago, eye dr thinks a tumor caused her to injure her eye. She also has horrible arthritis the vet said. He said she needs cold laser treatment that would cost $200 for 6 treatments. How many treatments is depending on how she does. She sees Dr. Casey at TLC Veterinary. Dr Casey said she’s a fighter. I will always do what’s best for her! Angel has alway protected me especially on walks. She loves her snow, we have always played in the snow together. She would run crazy and make me laugh because she acts like a puppy every time. Every morning she wakes me up by washing my face, if I ignore her she goes nd gets a drink and gives me wet kisses! Even blind, she melts my heart by her expressions!
