Kahlua
Kahlua is a 9-year-old Pitbull in Lancaster, MA, who needs $2,000 for TPLO Surgery.
Lancaster, MA
My beautiful pitbull was acquired by me in 2014 off of Craigslist. This woman who sold her to me, had no idea what she was doing with a young pup and didn’t have the ability to properly care for a doggy. I believe I saved her life! She is the sweetest girl I’ve ever met and she has carried me through many years as my rock. I came up with the name, kahlua, due to her coffee color coat! My kahlua sleeps under the blankets in bed with me. She burrows into any blanket she can. Her hobbies are light swimming, hiking to beautiful places and looking at the view, barking with other dogs, getting pets from everyone in site & having momma make her special foods. She lives a good, loving & happy life and she has no idea the quality of life she brings to me daily! The love of my life!!!! She talks all day long in different noises. She will follow me anywhere I go with eyes on me at all times. She is a particular eater and only mama can give her what she loves. She snorts and snores with her eyes wide open in hopes of more TLC. She’s afraid of inanimate objects, loud noises and people with bad intentions. She is a warrior and will make anyone smile with her flips and pushy love. My kahlua tore her left back ACL in January and had surgery in February of this year. She recovered well and that leg is in tip top shape. Unfortunately she has now torn her second one in a year. Two TPLO surgeries in a Year is really difficult on the wallet and the mental health. We go to Townsend veterinary and we use Dr Easley. I am sure he will recover her once again once funds are in place. I am a chef and don’t make all that much money. This is almost $4300 and just not something I have on hand. Her happiness and longevity of life is all that matters to me. She is healthy otherwise and should live another 6-7+ years. Praying and hopeful for any and all help!

Oreo
Oreo is a 18-month-old Mastiff Mix Dog in Ashby, MA, who needs $1,669 for Laceration repair.
Ashby, MA
In February of 2021 my husband and I made the choice to rescue a dog, we wanted a puppy for some time but never came across the right one for our family! Not until we met Oreo she was 4 mo old the last of her siblings to be rescued she came from Indian to Springfield MA where she spent most of her days in a window crate. We went to meet Oreo late after work one night and took her home with us Oreo is one of the family members, she has a great deep love for our three children. She eats breakfast and dinner with us every night. She sleeps in our bed every night and if the kids are sick or sad she will sleep with one of them she loves exploring our 8acres and is always going to the water to explore. Oreo loves going to the local dog park and playing with the other dogs. She loves fetch. Oreo loves her people, we have a bond like no other I’ve ever experienced before, Oreo loves bones and treats but she would rather hide them after a few chews then enjoy them until there gone she hides them all over the house under pillows in the coach of course she’s a trouble maker in the yard digging random holes and then hiding her treats or bones in them. Oreo is in need of medical attention due to being hit by a car, her back right leg is broken and she has an open very large Laceration the length of her leg. We are being treated by Townsend veterinarian hospital in Townsend Massachusetts by Dr. PJ she needs it closed up as to not contract infection and lose the leg. The longer we wait the more risk and pain Oreo suffers Our family is currently in a Financial hardship. We just welcomed a baby girl into the world but she came much earlier then planned and stayed three weeks in the hospital I was traveling over 1 hour each way daily to care for my infant during the days and home at night

Jaycee
Jaycee is a 9-year-old in New Ipswich, NH, who needs $1,500 for Diabetic Treatment.
New Ipswich, NH
My husband & I rescued Jaycee as a young puppy in 2013, as a companion for our Black Lab, Murphy. The two became fast friends & were inseparable, (until Murphy's passing about a year & half ago, which since then she hasn't quite been the same) Jaycee came up from down south & was fostered in NH. She quickly became the perfect spunky fit for our family. Jaycee enjoys relaxing on the couch, laying in the sun on the back deck when it's nice out. She is not so enthused by her new puppy brother's crazy antics but will occasionally join him in a vigorous game of tug. She loves sleeping next to Mom's side of the bed and putting her paws up to come and snuggle mid-way through the night. She now enjoys pets & love from her human sister, Harper. Jaycee is very special to us because we have had her since she was a young pup. As mentioned, before she quickly became the perfect fit. The Ying to Murphy's Yang. She, also always has a way of making us say "Oh, Jaycee..." She has the independent attitude of cat, but yet the snuggling nature of a dog & the only resting B. face. Recently, Jaycee was very lazy & began to have a few pee accidents in the house, which dried VERY sticky. This called for concern & lead to an overnight vet stay and a diagnosis of Diabetes Mellitus. BJ at Townsend Veterinary Hospital was quick to action in helping us to get this situation under control and educating us. This diagnosis will require, freq. visits, prescription food & insulin. This was a very unexpected event leading to a major expense with no emergency fund. I am also going to be on maternity leave without compensation, starting next week.

Hershey
Hershey is a Shetland Sheepdog puppy in Gardner, MA, who needs $1,900 for Surgery.
Gardner, MA
I just rescued a 7 month old sheltie puppy. I drove 14 plus hours to go get the special boy. He is super frail/skinny and SCARED. Poor little guy wants to hide when the fridge opens/any little noise. Long story short he jumped from my bed and broke bones in his front leg the VERY first day we got him. I am devastated and cant stop crying over this silly mistake I made. He is a timid little boy but just wants to be loved. He is snuggly and sleepy and is so loved already. We have only had him 3 days. He hides when there is AMY small noise like the fridge opening or someone walking. He is frightened and we just want to help him warm up and adjust to us and know that we will not hurt him Hersheys still learning how to be a dog and figuring out how to play and bark and be a sheltie. He is scared of any small noisemso he is super quiet but we are trying to change that. We have only had him for a few days but I notice that he has started to perk up and smile a little more. I know that he trusts us to take care of him. Im so upset about this mistake that I made. I am looking to get funds to help heal his broken bones. We had his Xrays and cast/splint put on at Westford Veterinary hospital. I have never had to do this before and I am Willing to provide any proof needed to get this little guy the help that he needs. I feel terrible and just did bot prepare For this to happen right away. I am limited to funds and live with my elderly father who I take care of. I am 25 and live in an apartment where I pay 1500 in rent a month. I work full Time and am Currently looking for more work.
