I adopted moon from my local humane society about 4 and a half years ago. I came to this shelter because I tried to save a street kitten that ended up passing away from unknown causes so I wanted to honor her by adopting a cat in need. So I saw moon, he caught my eye because he was meowing so loud and sticking his little arm out side of the cage lol. How could I ignore that.. So moon has liver failure. We don’t know what is causing it we’ve done almost all testing to try and figure out what is going on. But now the vet is recommending a liver biopsy to test and finally get some answers. I’m already in so much debt from all his treatments and this treatment alone is $4000 and probably a lot more once we finally have an answer and get to treating it. I need help. Moon is my family, my best friend, the reason I wanna be a better person and the reason I choose to stay here. He is so vocal and so sweet and clingy even in his current state he just wants love and comfort. Moon has been dealing with this disease for months and it breaks my heart to see him uncomfortable and I can’t express how grateful I would be to get some help from you guys🫶🏻

Last year, we welcomed Xena into our family through adoption from our local animal shelter, and she has since become an integral part of our lives, bringing us immense joy and unconditional love. Unfortunately, Xena recently faced a traumatic accident when she was struck by a car, resulting in a serious injury—a broken leg. Currently, Xena is under the care of the veterinary team at the Vale Veterinary Hospital in Vale, North Carolina. I have already contributed $398 to ensure that she is stable and has her leg splinted until she can undergo surgery. However, the estimated cost for her necessary orthopedic surgery totals $2639. Xena, with her affectionate nature, begins each day by spreading joy, waking her favorite tiny humans with gentle pounces and sweet morning kisses. And when it's time for a cozy movie night, her presence is essential, as she nestles close, ensuring warm toes and hearts as we enjoy each other's company on the couch. Xena hails from a caring household, yet she lacks an emergency fund to cover crucial surgery needed for her recovery. Meanwhile, we are also supporting multiple children at various stages of development, ensuring their college education and overall well-being.
