Otis was my sons cat. After he married his wife was allergic so I took him in. I had already taken my sons girlfriend’s cat-different son-so I wasn’t that excited but soon I fell in love with this gentle, loving creature. I live in a one bedroom apartment but it is a large one bedroom so two cats fit just fine. Otis is a love bug. Everyone loves him and he loves them back. He is constantly by my side whether I’m upset or in pain Otis is right there by me. He loves to be picked up and if you wear a hat he will rub against that till it falls off. I have not been well the past couple of years. Into the emergency room a few times. Otis senses I need him and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. Otis is very special. Every one who meets him loves him. You can’t usually hear him meow, it’s silent but he lets me know when he wants his treat and of course when he needs cuddles. He has a special spot on the sofa back that is covered in black fur. If I’m sad or in pain I usually take a bath. Otis jumps up on the ledge and waits for me. Otis had a tooth fall out last week. His mouth smelled pretty bad. My daughter in law took him to her vet to check his dental health. The veterinarian said he needs all of his teeth pulled out! And the tooth that fell out left a pocket of pus. Right now he’s just on an antibiotic for his infection. I cried. The vets name is Katie Fields and the clinic is ValueCare in Chaska, Minnesota. I am on a very small social security disability stipend. There’s never enough to cover expenses let alone something like this. I kept trying to save money but something would always come up.
