I adopted Shadow about a month ago from Bedford animal shelter. He was an older dog and people kept over looking him- I feel in love with him immediately! He is a gentle boy, very calm and whip smart. I’m 7 months pregnant and could not handle a high energy puppy- and he fit my needs perfectly. I live alone and was lonely. I just knew shadow was my dog! When I got Shadow I knew he had a case of kennel cough. I took him to the vet (vca Bedford animal clinic) with the free vet visit that came with shadow(perks!!) and he was given a diagnosis of kennel cough that came with antibiotics and steroids. But it’s now almost 4 weeks later and he doesn’t seem to be improving. He still has a deep wet cough and snot coming from his nose. Shadow is amazing! He is so well behaved. His name suits him because he never leaves my shadow. He is everything I need in my life right now. I wanted a dog to be able to bond with before I give birth here in about 3 months, he is calm and sure of himself. He’s still a puppy in a lot of ways! He loves tug a war and carries his toy when we go on walks like he could not be prouder to own it! Shadow is everything to me. Unfortunately I’m 7 months pregnant and on my own. I’m barely making bills and really can’t afford to pay a vet bill. Shadow deserves to be completely healthy and I don’t want to wait for things to get worse for him. I love with this dog!
