I adopted my Maine Coon, Cloud, from Saint Sophia Shelter in 2013, and he’s been a constant source of comfort and joy ever since. True to his name, he has a calm, gentle presence and a soft, fluffy coat that makes him look like he’s floating through the house. Cloud has a quiet but affectionate personalityhe likes to stay close, often following me from room to room just to keep me company. Cloud recently survived a life-threatening medical emergency that required urgent surgery at a VCA hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois.He is still recovering, and continued treatment is essential for his healing and quality of life. Without this continued treatment, his condition could worsen and put his life at risk. Cloud is not just my cat, he is my emotional support companion. He follows me everywhere and has helped me through my disability and many difficult moments in my life. I want to give him the best chance to recover fully and remain comfortable and healthy. I live on a fixed disability income and cannot afford these ongoing medical costs on my own. Any support will go directly toward Cloud’s veterinary care through Waggle.
