Maximum
Maximum is a 1 year old Maltese in Council Bluffs , IA, who needs $1,500 for Ongoing Treatment for Meningitis.
Council Bluffs, IA
I received Maximum from a friend. He lives with me and his siblings. Jack, Piper, and Mizz Tank, and of course his mama. We live modesty with a large back yard. Which i can't use right now. 😒 I was taken to VCA Medical Referral Hospital on December 6th 2024 because I collapsed. We found out that I had meningitis the kind that my own body attacks me. I spent 4 whole days there while this kind doctor tried to figure out what was wrong with me. They gave me antibiotics and even a cancer treatment. Maximum is Mizz Tanks best friend. They really miss playing with each other. He is also a loving lap dog. He also tries to keep up with his bigger siblings. I live a a fix income. When Covid hit it took away a lot of my downtown workers as they mostly work at home. I took a second job at Sam's Club as my dog 💰 I do carry pet insurance as I want to take care of my dogs. Unfortunately it only paid 2500.00 of a 9777.00 vet bill.

Tucker
Tucker is a 5 month old Mix-Breed in Omaha , NE, who needs $200 for Vaccines and Flea Treatment.
Omaha, NE
Tucker came into our lives on a fluke, my 13 year old son is autistic and really enjoyed seeing this dog everyday. Tucker really got along with my son and was almost an emotional support for him. My son asked his old owner if tucker could spend the night. Well the old owner was going through a rough time themselves and asked if my son wanted to keep him. So here he is now OHANA Well tucker cries a lot when scratching. I’m sure maybe he has fleas the owner didn’t have shots or anything for him so we are really staring out new and getting him everything a puppy needs Tucker is special because he really helps Noa who is autistic l. Tucker really calms him down when he is emotionally stressed and loves to holler so he knows we are listening to him. Well I am a single mom to 3 kids and not a very good job. I wasn’t ready to become a pet owner yet but tucker fit right in a really helps my son. We wouldn’t change it for the world

Maximum
Maximum is a 1 year old Maltese in Council Bluffs , IA, who needs $2,000 for Hospitalization Chemotherapy.
Council Bluffs, IA
Max is a very lovable baby. He is only 18 months. He has two sisters and one brother. He is the baby. He is also the most mischievous. Loves my seashells. And the only one that thinks he can be on my tables. On December th 16th Max collapse unexpectedly. After a vet visit I was not happy with I took him to urgent pet care. The refered me to VCA midwest animal hospital. After a MRI it was found to be meningitis. As I write this he is being treated. As of now I'm into this for 8606.98 credit card maxed. Insurance only pays 2500 so I have to bite my pride and ask for help. God Bless Max love to play with his siblings. It's most entertaining to watch him play with his 95 pound brother. As his brother loves to put Max's head in his mouth.( Jack is very gentle with him). He is alovrs to cuddle. With me and his siblings. So I live on a pretty tight budget and thought I would have enough insurance per dog to pay for a sudden accident, but did not expect my 18 month old Maltese would get so sick. So if you can please help me out I would greatly appreciate you. Thank you

Little Buddy
Little Buddy is a 3 month old Mix-Breed in Renner, SD, who needs $2,000 for Life-Saving Pelvic Surgery.
Renner, SD • Almost Home Canine Rescue
Almost Home Canine Rescue No living being should ever have to face what this sweet three-month-old puppy has. In his short life, Little Buddy has already survived homelessness, hunger, dehydration, major urinary issues, and some type of severe blunt-force trauma that left him with a broken hind leg, serious road rash, and skin abrasions. The day he arrived at our rescue, we thought his hardest days were behind him. Lil' Buddy's plan of care was straightforward: surgery to fix his broken leg. Instead, a complication was discovered during his pre-operative care. Desperate for answers, we rushed him to a specialty vet in Omaha where the diagnosis was heartbreaking. In addition to a broken leg, he had a severely broken pelvis. To make matters worse, the injury was old. Very old. And it had already begun to heal incorrectly, causing major damage to his urinary system. Little Buddy has gone from one hospital to the next: From Omaha ER to another specialty hospital in Sioux Falls to fix his urethra and wire his pelvis together. Then, just when things were looking up, he found himself being rushed right back to Omaha ER to undergo a second emergency surgery to fix a urinary fistula. We’ve seen a lot at our rescue, but we have never seen a living being work so hard to dismantle his trust issues. Nor have we ever seen an animal so desperate for safety, food, and a restful sleep. All this to say, this case – this dog – is not your average one. Little Buddy deserves the world. He has so much ahead of him. So much love to give. He deserves the world, and after all he's been through, we want to give it to him. Right now, donations are urgently needed to help support Little Buddy, as his total medical expenses are going to be staggering. The $3,000 originally estimated for a relatively straightforward surgery has more than doubled as a result of the emergency medical care his internal injuries prompted. Anything you can spare, $10 or $50, helps immensely in supporting his medical bills. Thank you so much for your kindness and support! Update 9/3/24: Buddy is doing well. He is still struggling with urinary issues but he is making progress every day. The current plan is to perform his FHO surgery in a few weeks once his pelvic fractures heal. He has been through a lot but is still in good spirits! Update 9/15/24: Little Buddy is doing okay and slowly healing. He recently started a new medication that will hopefully help with his urinary issues. Even though this is a slow process, we are glad he is making steady progress and is headed in the right direction. Update 9/24/24: Lil Buddy, our resilient little fighter! He’s headed back to Omaha for another round of surgery due to ongoing urinary issues. This brave pup has already overcome so much with his broken leg and pelvis injuries, but now he needs our help again. His upcoming surgery is crucial and is expected to cost upwards of $4,000. We’re calling on all animal lovers to send Lil Buddy some good vibes and, if possible, a donation to support his recovery. Every little bit helps, and together, we can give him the healthy, happy life he deserves! Update 10/5/2024: The foster was able to finally start potty training Buddy because his control over his bladder was getting better, but he was still leaking and the urine smelled foul. Our vet spoke with the Omaha vet, and both were perplexed, but it was decided he would go back to Omaha for a consult. The vet sedated him and pulled urine from his bladder to send away for culture. She called with the results almost a week later with the best news - he had 2 bacterial infections and we had a great game plan! He was put on multiple meds, and the vet would go in and fix a different fistula that was caused by his initial pelvic break. In addition, she is confident she can neuter and fix his leg in the same surgery!

Teddy
Teddy is a 9 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Omaha, NE, who needs $2,000 for Pancreatic Treatment.
Omaha, NE
Teddy was a gift to Lana on her 10th birthday. He was a few weeks old, got him in the middle of winter and had to bring him home in my shirt. She abs him have had the strongest bond since day one. He follows her around. He is her best friend. Teddy had always been an excited, outgoing, playful dog. He has never been sick. Always in toddler mode. Lately he has been lethargic, laying around, not eating or drinking. We took him to the vet and found out he has pancreatitis. If we don't come up with $20,000.00 they will have to put him to sleep. This will devastate our family, especially my daughter. Teddy is playful, always protective of my daughter, always excited. He deserves a fighting chance. We tried care credit, resources in the community, and nobody can help. I am disabled with many health issues of my own and am unable to afford his treatment. We need the community to help. Please. If you have ever met my daughter and Teddy, you would know how much he means. This will break her. Please find it in your hearts. We need $20k

Emma
Emma is a 4-year-old Newfoundland in SSC, NE, who needs $2,000 for UTI.
SSC, NE
I am a retired service animal breeder, we raised Emma from birth to nine weeks old. At nine weeks she went to what we thought was her forever home via ground transportation. After being in that home health issues become noticeable. The now previous owners decided that they couldn't afford to treat Emma so they returned her to us. She is now four months old, we've had her back for two weeks. Since Emma has been back in our care I've kept a daily detailed log of her health for our veterinarian. She is a very happy puppy that has adjusted back into our household quickly. Emma loves to play with the other animals and fetch our kids. Emma is a very smart puppy, she likes to show off her commands. She is with us all day and crated at night when we are sleeping to ensure her safety. Emma is learning a lot from our adult dogs. Our oldest golden has taught her how to use her voice when she has to go outside to potty. She tries to be the best helper while cleaning up the house. Like most dogs she doesn't like the vacuum cleaner. Otherwise she is the best puppy. I am so happy with her temperament and disposition. When she was with her previous owners she had contracted a UTI with an E-COLI infection. Emma did not get immediate treatment, her illness worsened. She has had this infection for over a month and is now being treated for it. She is on a dual antibiotic and scheduled to see a VCA Specialist September 28th. To see what the untreated UTI has done to her body, or if she will have life long effects. With her regular vet care and seeing the VCA Specialist I am turning to you, the public, to ask for help if you are able to. This is an unexpected major expense that I'm not able to fully cover. All we want is for this puppy to get back up to the healthy dog that she was.
