I adopted Gunner about 2 years ago from a local shelter, because how do you say no to that face? He’s half border collie, half lab. He’s by my side almost all day every day and gets to go to work with me. I’ve never owned such a sweet, calm, and friendly dog. We were homeless for a good amount of time about 6 months ago and his demeanor never wavered and he’s always got that smile on his face. As you can see from one of the pictures, Gunner developed a massive tumor on his back leg overnight about 2 months ago and it’s split open and constantly bleeding. He’s clearly in pain and uncomfortable. Myself and the doctors at VCA Panther Lake are afraid that it’s cancerous but there’s no way to know without testing it, and it’s so large it doesn’t make sense to not remove it also. Gunner hasn’t met a person or dog he didn’t love. All he wants to do all day is play fetch, take naps, and get pets. He instantly becomes best friends with you when you meet. He’s as sweet as they come and second to none. I was homeless for about 8 months last year and I’ve been getting back on my feet and trying to stay afloat. This tumor popped up over night and is gonna cost $2000 I don’t have and don’t know when I’ll have it. I can’t keep him suffering like this.

Khalessi was one of 13 and the previous owner couldn't keep her. She wanted her to have a good home so I took her. I wasn't aware of how much bigger she would get or how hard it would be to train her. Especially in a 3 bdrm apt. Khalessi is a service animal for my two children and helps me with emotional support. Since she came to our home she was a BIG girl at 50 lbs. quickly gowning. Khalessi was able to stay in contact with two of her siblings which we seen on a weekly basis. Which is why her ACL is tore now.. Fun Playdates However all her people siblings love her. She even has her own doggy clothing. She loves to be pretty Well Khalessi has a natural sad face but never seem sad. When I get home I have this hug 100 lbs puppy running at me and wiggling as she tries to hug me.. She is so smart.. She gives me kisses or high fives on demand; ) Although she is scared of everything she is a warrior in love.. She will come next to you and slubber all over you with love Since I been homing Khalessi it has been expensive.. I paid for a huge cyst that was on her arm which cost 1300 and she has terrible skin so I pay for monthly allergy treatments.. This injury has really caught me off guard because of the expense.. I'm concerned it hurts especially since I live on the 3rd floor and she has to hop on it daily.:( I just started a second job 5/16/23 so I know if I can get help with this surgery i can continue with her monthly and medical bills going forward because I will have more money. It would mean the world to help us get her fixed up and on track.

LOKI WAS KICKED OUT OF HIS HOUSE HE HAD LIVED IN SINCE HE WAS A PUPPY CAUSE FEMALE HUSKY HAD PUPPIES SO LOKI HAD TO GO. I HAD BEEN SEARCHING FOR 6 MONTHS FOR A POTENTIAL SERVICE DOG. I DIDNT HAVE A 6’ WOOD FENCE THAT THE RESCUES & SHELTERS AS WELL AS PETFINDER SAID I NEEDED. SO I POSTED AN ADD ON CRAIGS LIST. I GOT A TEXT ASKING IF I WAS STILL LOOKING FOR A SERVICE DOG, I SAID YES. LOKI & I LIVE ALONE IM IN A WHEELCHAIR & WASNT ABLE TO WALK BUT WITHIN A WEEK LOKI HELPED SUPPORT ME TO PICK UP AFTER HIM & THEN BRACING ME TO THE BATHROOM. WE HAD A 1,000 SQFT CONDO… NOW IN ANOTHER TWO BEDROOM APT HE HAS A PROFESSIONAL SERVICE DOG TRAINER TO GET USED TO WALKING THROUGH HALL WAYS & ALERTING TO OTHERS MEDICAL ISSUES. WE HAVE CAREGIVERS THAT LOVE HIM BUT HE SAVED ME WHEN MY SON DIED LOKI HAS 3 FAVORITE TOYS A SQUEACKY COW, CHEW NYLA BONE & BONE WITH NUBS FOR HIS TEETH. HE LOVES MY CAREGIVERS & A LADY IN THE COMPLEX THEY PLAYED TIL HE CRASHED. I WALK LOKI EXCEPT THE LAST 5 WEEKS TODAY. WHEN SOME HOW I JURED HIS LEG PINCHED NERVEIN HIS SPINE HE NEVER MADE A SOUND EVEN DURING TRAINING IN THE HALLS A RESIDENT WAS HARASSING US & IN THE END HIT LOKIS BUTT, WALKS3 LEGGED DAY AFTER I RELIZED HE WAS HURT CAUSE HE WOULDNT MOVE & WHEN HE DID HE CRIED TOOK HIM TO COMMUNITY PET CLINIC PULLED MUSCLES, TENDOND & LIGAMENTS. GIVEN MEDS. EVERY WEEK I CALLED TELLING THEM HE WAS WORSE SCREAMING LIKE A BANCHI FINALLY WEEK 3 THEY REFERED US TO AN EMERGENCY VET HOSPITAL RIGHT AWAY SAID X RAYS FOUND A PINCHED NERVE.. HE REFERRED US TO A SPECIALIST WE HAVE APPT APRIL 1 IM ON SSI $914.00 A MONTH… SECTION 8 I PAY $102.00 RENT.. JUST HAD MY FOOD STAMPS CUT TO 150 FROM 300 THAT REALLY HURTS CAUSE I MAKE LOKIS HOME MADE FOOD CAUSE KIBBLES GIVE HIM DIARRHEA … I WILL LIVE AS LONG AS I HAVE MY LOKI HE SAVED MY LIFE & I OWE HIM MY LIFE

I found Moose online when he was 4mo. Someone was sick & needed 2 adopt out his high energy. We'd just lost our 14yo dog 2 wks prior. We got dressed up for Halloween & I laugh that the 1st house we came 2 we were given a puppy for Trick or Treating. I thought he would care that his new house was much smaller, but all he cared about was playing with his new kitten & getting loved on finally. When he would take things as a puppy (like dentures)& hide them in his bed we called that his Moose-tache. My two boys & Moose are my 3 Moosekateers. He was really quick to pick up new tricks, except for catching food when I threw it. After he gained a bunch of weight one winter, I realized he was really able to catch treats, but he knew he always got more when he kept ‘practicing'. Low-income family of 4 with 2pets. Moose is emotional support for myself & my 2 sons (with anxiety & depression) Got him after son went into severe depression from loss of our other dog of 14 yrs. Spent all of savings$ on son's medical needs 10/2020. We love Moose so much! Moose has RUPTURED CCL in both knees. He's unable to put weight on the right leg & has muscle loss Both knee caps pop out of place making it extremely painful to bend his legs while sleeping, walking, squatting for the bathroom. Surgery is the only option. The specialist we found @ VCA PANTHER LAKE estimated $2175 per leg. (Unlike the original Vet @$6K) He will eventually need the left leg as well Moose is a GIVER! Anytime someone that he knows comes over he gets so excited& he needs 2 give them a gift! He runs back in 2 grab his toy or a raw hide 2 bring 2 them. U only have 2 receive it & hand it back. He couldn't find anything 1 time so I handed him a sock so that he could share it. I was outside for a few mins & he saw me come in & greeted me in his normal, excited to see me, fashion.
