Lucias Xavier

Lucias Xavier is a 12 year old Rottweiler in Albuquerque, NM, who needs $11,787 for Diagnosis and Electrochemotherapy.

Albuquerque, NM

Lucias Xavier is my 12-year-old Rottweiler mix and loyal best friend. We live in Albuquerque, staying with a group of friends who have truly become family. While we have all rallied to support Lucias through his illness, he is actually the one giving us quiet strength. Despite our shared hardships, his steady, loving presence is the anchor that keeps our newfound family united and resilient. Lucias faces suspected oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma. His 2024 pathology was inconclusive, yet the required bone biopsy was never performed. We are now seeking a "clean slate" evaluation and life-saving Electrochemotherapy at Veterinary Cancer Care in Santa Fe. We are determined to get the definitive diagnosis and specialized treatment that was previously delayed due to diagnostic oversight. Lucias is a "gentle giant" with an intuitive soul and calm temperament. He is famous for his "Rottie lean," sensing when we need comfort. He is incredibly gentle with everyone, including children, and has shown amazing resilience during medical treatments. Even with his current challenges, his tail never stops wagging when he sees his people; he is truly the heart of our home. Our family is currently navigating the hardship of recent homelessness and medical trials; Lucias is my best friend and our anchor. We are fighting for justice after a 2024 misdiagnosis nearly cost him his life. Getting him healthy means righting that wrong and keeping our fa

Sofie

Sofie is a 13 year old Havanese in Aztec, NM, who needs $25,000 for Exams, Immunotherapy, Ultrasounds, X-rays.

Aztec, NM

Sofie was sitting in the window of a pet store all alone. All the other puppies were playing, but Sofie sat looking like she was thinking, "Where is my mommy". I held my hand out to her, and she looked so happy that she ran across the play area to me, and when I picked her up, she put her little head on my shoulder and started to whimper -it was love at first sight. Sofie is a true survivor. Three years ago, Sofie was diagnosed with cancer, undergoing significant surgeries to remove her anal glands, one lung, and several lymph nodes. Today, Sofie's care is managed through Veterinary Cancer Care, and she continues to receive expert intervention to manage her symptoms and maintain her comfort. Sofie is doing extremely well and enjoying life to the fullest. Sofie is much more than a pet; she is the quiet, steady heartbeat of our family. At 13, this soulful Havanese has spent over a decade teaching sus about loyalty, resilience, and the simple joy of being present. Her role in our family is a "silent observer" and a constant companion, navigating the daily rhythms of our lives with a grace that only a senior dog can possess. While we are committed to providing Sofie with the best possible outcomes, the costs of specialized oncology, diagnostic imaging, and long-term prescription medications have become a heavy burden. Your support will go directly toward her veterinary expenses and supplies.

Rico Sanchez

Rico Sanchez is a 10 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in ALBUQUERQUE, NM, who needs $2,000 for Mast Cell Tumor Removal.

ALBUQUERQUE, NM

2014 I rescued Rico from the dog pound. He was the cutest little mischievous puppy ever. He was tearing everything in his cage up. I knew it had to save him and love him forever. They named him Usher, but that had to go. I knew Rico would be by y right hand. Rico from The penguins of Madagascar came to mind. Perfect. He's always the with a kiss, paw shake or just the look that he understands. Rico has mast cell tumors. My hopes are to remove these tumors and save his life. I've done everything in my power to get his spleen removal and the first round of removing masses. My family has helped with chemo injections, and Ricos care team has been great. The 3 masses he has left have stopped responding to the prednisone. They've grew and stated bleeding. They need to be removed. I just want Rico to be able to play with his sister Noodles. He want to take his walks still but we just can't go as far anymore. He has the desire but gets tired faster now. Rico love play with his speaker toys on the couch with Noodle. He also enjoys just hanging out on the couch with the kids. Ricos favorite thing to do is eat pizza. I call him a pizza slut cause he'll do anything for it. I am asking for help. My hours have been cut back. My dad passed on Jan 27th. I've maxed out Carecredit, still have a bill. It just been a rough start to the year. I have things to sell but no interested buyers.I don't need sympathy just a little understanding. I need my bab
