December 2024 a tiny shelter dog walked straight to me, climbed into my lap, and melted against my chest like she’d finally found home. Ruby chose me that day, and I’ve been trying to deserve her ever since. She’s pure joy—goofy, cuddly, loving every soul she meets. In less than a year she’s become my heartbeat. My sweet girl has so many more walks to take and toys to chase. Veterinary medical surgical hospital has been working diligently to help Ruby. She was diagnosed with Addisons disease. Shots are around $200 every 25 days. Her high dose medications also lead her to pancreatitis. So far we are at around $7,000 in vet bills and still going. This will be an ongoing battle for the rest of her life and I’m seeking help to provide this for her. Ruby is so loved by anyone who meets her. She always has a toy next to her. She can run around the back yard for hours chasing toys and rabbits. She loves splashing around in her baby pool and the hose. She will roll around in the grass on a beautiful day for hours. Her soft sighs as she melts into my arms at night is the best ending to every single day. I’m a single 23 year old female who works full time. Having Ruby by my side makes the hard days easier. We haven’t had enough time together. We still have so many more adventures ahead. Anything helps, having my baby girl around longer truly means everything to me.

I got foxy Roxy back in 2011. My grandmother took me to Texas where my aunt new lady who had several puppies Chihuahua puppies that she was trying to give away and so we took a trip down there drove and I picked foxy Roxy out of many different puppies she stood out to me because she kind of has a loaner dog kept to herself and she was just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I’ve had foxy her whole life and she’s never had any issues that have required her to see a vet and I’ve not really been financially stable enough to have her go in for checkup or regular visits but recently she has developed a lump on her chest Under her right arm That over the course of a month and a half has doubled, almost tripled in size and keeps growing. I’m trying to get her looked at Foxy has always been attached to me we have done a lot of moving around and she loves going where I go. She rides in the car behind the drivers seat it’s her safe space. She is also a pillow princess and will sleep above my head. When she’s playful and happy she gives me big bug eyes and Tilts her head to the side. She also does this bounce hop that’s so cute. I lost my mother and my grandmother to cancer. This dog has been with me through the worst times and the best times. She’s all I have left of my grandmother. I suffer from severe depression and this little dog saves me. And I’d like to save her for a change.

Our neighbor's landlord wouldn't let him keep her so we took her in at 6 mths old. She has been our baby after losing our 2 other dogs we had for 12 years. I just knew she was supposed to be ours she keeps my autistic son on his toes and calms him down. She is my baby girl I don't know what I am going to do if she can't walk any longer. Sugar loves walking around the lake, loves being with me, her dad and her brothers. She loves playing with other dogs and she does not like to take a bath. My husband has to bathe her. She loves car rides and playing fetch. She loves laying down and cuddling. We are on a fixed income and have an autistic 20 yr old. We do not have money to put into savings. We never expected this to happen. She had a broken leg and fibula, and needs a plate put in her leg. It will need to be done by a specialist. There is only one in town that does these surgeries. I dont know what will happen if she doesn't get the surgery. I would have to just leave her in pain. I feel so helpless right now. She jumps around like a bunny rabbit and plays fetch and runs around the house like a greyhound dog racing for a win after her bath that she does not like or when she comes in from the cold. Her name is Sugar Ray because she is all white with pink ears and belly an bottoms of her paws. She has big beautiful blue eyes.
