Appa
Appa is a 6 month old British Longhair in Bend, OR, who needs $2,000 for Portosystemic Shunt Litigation.
Bend, OR
After losing my cat of 18 years, I needed to bring another fur baby into my life. I found Appa on FB marketplace and immediately fell in love. He is THE SWEETEST baby in the world. He demands to be held at all hours of the day and gives kisses on the ends of your nose. I cannot imagine my life without this sweet boy. Appa was incredibly small when I got him, and after a week or so began having significant health issues. Symptoms have included loss of hair, balance issues, drooling, mouth breathing, small stature, and falling. After months of visits to multiple vets, we have finally connected with an internal med specialist who diagnosed him with a liver shunt. It requires surgery to live. Appa is the cuddliest and floppiest little guy I’ve ever met. He demands to be held while I cook, get ready, and work on class work. He gives neck hugs and often falls asleep hugging my face. Though he has significant health issues, he remains sweet and purrs when he has the energy. I am in a medical graduate program in school earning my masters degree in speech language pathology. I have limited access to funding and due to working clinical hours for school, I cannot work full time until summer.

Garbo
Garbo is a 8-year-old Maltese in Bend, OR, who needs $2,000 for Luxated Patella.
Bend, OR
Greta Garbo came to us 8 years ago. Had just lost my malte poo and was heart broken. Then her previous owner (who lived in the country) realized that this sweetheart was in danger of being attacked by a hawk or owl. So, they put her up to re home. Well those big black eyes caught my eyes and she was ours. Garbo is the sweetest little fur baby, all the neighbors and kids stop by to see her daily. She loves on and kisses them all. When out a about, she is the main attraction. She rides in a shopping cart and stands up to be seen and kisses everyone, especially kids. Garbo gives us joy everyday. Waiting in the morning for us to get up and start her day. She sleeps with us (of course) Her very favorite thing is to sun bath on the patio. She's a sun lover. You will find her smiling and running around the yard all day. Which makes us smile too. Just last week Garbo put her back left knee out. Luxated Patella, a genetic issue with this breed. After two vet evaluations, she will need to have orthopedic surgery. The cost approx $3000+. Wow We are a senior couple on a fixed income and can not afford to pay for the surgery. It just breaks my heart everyday to see her without the ability to run and smile like she use to. They say without surgery it would create bone on bone and arthritis,

Dre
Dre is a 4-year-old Bordeaux Mastiff in Bend, OR, who needs $1,386 for cancer treatment and auto-immune disorder treatment.
BEND, OR
Dre is a rescue. His previous family said he was too much to handle. Little did they know he just needed more people time. He was starving for attention. We picked up a shy 150 lb. baby to bring him home to his new house and his new family. His two fur brothers welcomed him with open paws. Dre has never had it so good, now he has a big family to show him all the attention he needs/ Dre is a very private family member. He will only sleep in his kennel or on our bed. He loves to play with his fur brother until he's done, and not a second longer. Dre sometimes thinks he is a fish. If he gets in any water he wants to go under and just drink it all. He loves walks especially when he gets to lead. A year ago I broke my back and am inoperable We have paid out a lot already and now need a little help to cover future costs for Dre as he will be on meds the rest of his life. Up until January of 2021 Dre had been a healthy boy. I noticed that he was eating slower than usual so we contacted our vet. When we took him in he had a fever of 105 and his spleen was swollen. After 2 weeks worth of testing we took him to a specialist vet, Veterinary Referral Service of Central Oregon. After more testing we learned he has an auto-immune disorder and cancer in his spleen. Dre is quite a character. He doesn't tell us if he needs to go out or needs food or water, he just comes in the room and stares at us really close. He knows when the drool starts to flow we will figure out he wants something. He doesn't play with toys but he sure will hide them from his fur brother.
