Lucy came into our lives in the middle of the Pandemic. We drove nearly 3 hours to see her and her siblings. She is a spit fire, ive never had a dog that knows time, but Lucy sure does! Dinner time, bed time, she keeps us in line. She shares her home with her big brother Logan, a border collie. They are our fur blessings. On Monday March 3rd, we noticed Lucy had what looked to be blood behind her right eye. We took her to our local Veternarian where it was discovered that she had Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia. She had to be transfered to Veternarian Specialists of Birmingham right away for treatment and stabilization of her condition. Lucy is our little spit fire, she loves dragging out all 500 of her toys, keeping us in line, and barking when a tree falls 5 miles away in the forest. She is my baby, my Covid puppy, I dont know what to do without her. Lucy's treatment has been expensive, requiring chemo medications to help build her platlet counts back up, when that failed she required a blood transfusion, she still is not out of the woods. She has developed jaundice, elevated liver enzymes, and a heart murmur.

I have hand raised Sasha. Her mama died during birth. Sagas was born on March 20,2024. Sasha has been with me since the first day she took her first breath. I am her mama. Sasha acts just like her mama and it’s like having a piece of Sky (Mama) back. I am married. All my children are grown. Sasha is like a child to me. I lost my job about a year ago. Due to a medical disability. Sasha is at Veterinary Specialist Of Birmingham Al. She is 11 weeks old and has fluid around her lungs. In an oxygen tank. The doctor pull off 330 cc of fluid out of her chest. They are treating her on a large spectrum antibiotic. Sending fluid off to the lab and admitted her for treatment through the night. If no more fluid accumulates she will only have to stay 1 night. Sasha is a heart with legs. She has so much love to give and has no problem showing it. She is so special to our family as she lost her mother at birth and so we have hand raised her ever since. Our family needs her as much as she needs us right now!! SASHA mother Amber Sky lost her life during emergency C section procedure. That unfortunate event has me in financial distress. I’m disabled and am doing everything within my limits. I have no where else to turn to. I have no other loan I can possibly take out.
