Indyra, Indy for short, came into my life when she was roughly 6 months old. She was a private rehome through Ruff Haven, which is a non-profit company that provides emergency boarding, pet food pantries, and other community services to those in need. She came from an abusive background, but has been happily living with me and my three cats for the last 3.5 years. Indy was diagnosed with chronic Urinary Tract Infections as well as bladder stones. As of May 2025, she has multiple large bladder stones that are too large for her to pass. She required a cystotomy, since prescription food and other treatments have been ineffective for treating or dissolving stones/infections. She is a regular at Vista Vet in Midvale, Utah. Indyra is a sweetheart. She is a registered ESA who also assists me with my physical disabilities. She is not currently certified as a service dog, but she is slowly being trained to do so. She taught herself seizure and extreme heart rate fluctuation detection, and she also provides mobility assistance. She loves all animals and people and has nothing but love and sass to share with the world. I am disabled, and I lost my job in January 2025. I just started work again in April. Being out of work, having two different pet emergencies (one Indy, the other my 16-year-old cat), college, and my car's coolant system breaking left me in a financially hard position...
