Max is a sweet 6-year-old pup who is truly part of our family. He is silly, cuddly, loyal, and full of personality. He loves bedtime snuggles, his lifelong stuffed panda that he carries everywhere, camping, kayaking, nightly walks, zoomies in the yard, and greeting everyone with a happy wiggle of his little nub tail. Max has pyloric stenosis, a serious condition where the opening between the stomach and small intestine becomes abnormally narrowed. This prevents food from passing, causing chronic vomiting, difficulty eating, weight loss, dehydration & malnutrition. A highly specialized surgery is his only option. The cost is $6-$8k and his family has already spent thousands of dollars to get him to this point. Max’s recovery means everything because he fills our home with comfort, laughter, and love. He has been by our side through everyday moments big and small for us and our children, and we cannot imagine life without his gentle presence. Helping him heal would give our family more time with the loyal companion who has given us so much. Max’s family is doing all they can, but his urgent care and surgery costs have become overwhelming. Max was found outside in a small litter of 8. We took in him and his sister Ruby. He is the most fun and loving cat I’ve ever met, there’s never a time where my lap is empty when he’s around. Him and his sister run the house, making sure everyone is in check. We had noticed max began breathing abnormally. Unsure what it was we took him to our local clinic, as me and my boyfriend just began working and weren’t financially stable. Fluid in his abdomen is what we were told. He’s struggling to breathe since the fluid is stopping full expansion of his lungs. We were sent to an emergency vet and were told there was an infection. It’s puss filling his belly. He loves to watch the birds. Every window has a cat perch just for him. If you choose to watch TV? He’s there too. Laying in bed? He’s there too. Taking a shower? He’s there too. He just loves people more than anything, especially his parents. Me and my boyfriend both just began working again. The job market has been so hard to find work and we are behind on our bills, let alone having student loans out right now to pay too. Our credit isn’t good enough to get a loan for this, and it’s too much for us to pay now.

We live in Rochester, NH, and he recently became an amazing big brother to Nala, another rescue we adopted in March. Mack is the heart of our home, and we just want him healthy. Mack has developed a concerning, ulcerated skin mass on his stomach that needs to be surgically removed and biopsied.
