Samurai

Samurai is a 2-year-old Husky in San Diego, CA, who needs $400 for Ear Infection Treatment.

San Diego, CA

I rescued Samurai and his brother Reed from my abusive ex-boyfriend who threatened to kick them in the teeth. We now live in a small apartment and spend plenty of time outdoors to get enough exercise! Sammy, as I affectionately call him, loves walks—and will not hesitate to execute his zoomie routine, even when he’s on a leash! Sammy is the Super Smoocher of the household! He never ever runs out of smooches, even when he’s hot or tired! He loves playing with his brother Reed. He’s very toy (not food) motivated. He can get a little cranky if he thinks someone is trying to usurp his favorite toy! He’s a pretty quiet boy, especially for a Husky. Sammy is definitely the comedian of the family!! When he was super little he was a very clumsy little fur ball! Now he’s more coordinated, but he’s always finding a way to roll around and be silly. Most of the time he has his mouth open and looks like he’s smiling. He’s a very friendly guy and won’t hesitate to kiss anyone in sight! Sammy has been struggling with ear infections (despite having pointy ears). His right ear is currently red and inflamed. He’s itching it and shaking his head a lot. He’s not one to complain very much, but I can tell he’s uncomfortable. I’m physically disabled and unable to work. I’m struggling to even afford the basics right now. I’m trying to give my boys the best life and care I possibly can! My heart is broken seeing my babies in pain. I’m thankful for any help toward health. Full zoomies ahead!

Reed

Reed is a 2-year-old Malinois Shepherd Mix in San Diego , CA, who needs $250 for Antibiotics.

San Diego, CA

I rescued these two precious baby boys from my abusive ex-boyfriend who threatened to kick them in the teeth. We now live in a small apartment and spend a lot of time outdoors to get enough exercise! They love wearing their packs outside. The packs are filled with soup cans to give them a sense of work and purpose. Our home may be small but it’s full of love! Reed has such personality! He’s always the first to the door. He’s a protector, yet he also loves to cuddle. He’s bright, playful, but also has a serious side. He’s a true leader, except when his bone falls on the side of the bed—then he just becomes a barky whiny blob until Mommy comes to help. He adores his brother Sammy and loves to wrestle with him all day! Reed is so attentive. We lived on a farm when he was a puppy and he would always look back to me for direction. He also has a lot of big feelings and will make them known through his hilarious groans. Our favorite game is tug of war. He will often win because he has such advanced moves! He loves to chew on bones, and is also a professional squeaker remover! He demolishes squeak toys in minutes. Reed has been biting his paws lately. My poor baby is very uncomfortable. There is a lot of redness and inflammation near his nails and throughout his paw pad area. I rinse his paws after we walk, but the problem has persisted. I’m physically disabled and on a very low and fixed income. I’m trying to give my babies the best life possible, but it’s been very difficult while entrenched in poverty.
