Roxy

Roxy is a 2 month old Rottweiler in Roxy, ME, who needs $5,000 for Mandibular Fracture Repair.

Roxy, ME

She is such a sweet girl. We bought her for my daughter who is 3. She loves to chew and run around with her zooming. She is such an amazing addition to our family. Yesterday afternoon she was bit in the face by another dog. The dog broke her jaw and she needs to have surgery to realign it so she is able to eat probably and live a full life. We will be going to either Portland Veterinary Specialist in Portland, ME or Winthrop Veterinary Hospital in Winthrop, ME. She is a beautiful little girl. She is so sweet and loving. She cuddles in our bed at night and snuggle in our lap. Shes gentle even for a puppy with our daughter. We are a low income family. We live pay check to pay check like most. We unfortunately don't have thousands to spend to fix her jaw. If we did it would most definitely already be done. She is such an important member to our family.

Maggie

Maggie is a 6-year-old Mixed Breed in Waterville, ME, who needs $2,000 for Patella Luxation w/ FHNO .

Waterville, ME

I didn't intend to adopt a rescue dog right out of college. Maggie was supposed to be my mom’s, but, tragedy struck, my mom passed away, and she became mine. Her tail wagged so hard for me I couldn’t help but love her instantly. I'd be lying though if I said there weren't moments early on that became more complicated with a dog in tow. Travel, moving, going out, everything. Today life looks a lot different than it did six years ago, and yet the one constant through it all has been her. Always by my side, always wagging her tail. She became my best friend. And now that she’s adopted Jamie as her dog-dad, she seems to have somehow doubled her capacity to care for a human. She shows both of us love, and excitement, and joy, even when we struggle find it for ourselves. Should we be lucky enough to cover her surgical bill in full through Waggle, any additional funds (from the yard sale, etc.) would go toward costs not listed on the initial vet quote (follow up appts, rehab, etc.). Thank you in advance for helping our sweet girl! Maggie will be seen by Dr. Bryant at Winthrop Veterinary Hospital on Sept 22 for her first of two surgeries. In addition to what we've raised through this page, we've also raised $1205 from a yard sale we held to put toward her medical care. ALL funds raised through this page will go directly toward the bill for Maggie's procedures. Maggie's generally a happy dog, but she has had issues with her hind legs her whole life. It wasn’t until recently that we discovered that she has severe hip dysplasia (and a luxating patella), but has - unsurprisingly - been selflessly enduring it like a champ. She has no cartilage left in her hips. The total estimated cost for the procedures needed to fix this is $3627.
