Hello! I'm Jojo and I live in Madison WI. My parents rescued me after I had been found with severe mange, transported to a shelter, and moved from OK to WI for a chance at adoption. Before that, I was a stray and ultimately got chained up and mean humans poured motor oil all over me. Today, life is good! Being rescued has given me a life beyond my dreams. Lots of treats, frisbee, and love. I love to cuddle on the couch with my humans. I also looooove peanut butter kongs, yak cheese bones, and going for walks. My humans play frisbee and ball with me, but I haven't been able to play in a long time. Playing with the hose is my favorite! Water is evil, must eliminate!! Also, have you seen my tail?? I can't seem to catch it so I tend to chase it at least once a day, for at least 10 full spins. Jojo has been diagnosed with torn crucial ligaments in both knees. She began limping a couple months ago, we took her to the vet, the vet misdiagnosed her with a sports injury, and now 2 months later she can hardly walk or get up. We are looking at 2 different options for surgical repair: Dr Hein (LaCrosse WI) - Total of $8,000 Dr Haines (Southern IL) - Total $6,000 This is a sudden expense that we haven't planned for. This type of expense will affect our family greatly. I have been donating to various fundraisers for many years, now it's time for us to fundraise.
