Dora was a rescue dog. We've been together for almost 12 years now. My wife passed away when Dora was only 3 years old. So, it's just been Daddy and Dora for the past 9 years! I make sure all of her needs are met such as veterinary care, walks outside, food, water, a clean environment, and of course, treats! I could never begin to repay her for all she has given me. It seems everyone in our neighborhood knows Dora. She is very kind and loving to all. Kids are especially eager to see her. Most of my family members have passed, however, Dora loves my Brother and Sister-in-law. I believe that Dora's good disposition comes from her excellent life at home. Sometimes I do get mad at her, but I never stop loving her. In her own way, I believe she understands that. I once heard that pet owners should spend at least 20 minutes a day talking to there pets. Well, in this household, 20 minutes represents the time I am not talking to her. I have routines set up for the daily events of Dora's life. There are little songs, rhymes, games I've made for walk time, dinner time, play time and treat time. She looks foward to all of them with great excitement. With a very heavy heart, I have to report that Dora has developed a tumor on her right front shoulder. She had one removed from the same leg but lower down a couple of years ago. The tumor is growing fast and will eventually prevent her from properly walking or even walking at all. Dora is so full of life. Her doctor's name is Julie Foster. Dhe is located at The Wixom Falmily Pet Practice in MI. I was forced to retire back in 2005 at the age of 50 because I contracted an affliction called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. I have been living on Social Security Disability from that time until now. I just turned 66 so I am now on the regular fixed income of Social Security
