Topanga Lee

Topanga Lee is a 11 year old Shih Tzu in Albany, NY, who needs $3,000 for Dental Cleaning with Extractions.

Albany, NY

My baby Miss Topanga Marie Lee came into my life 2014, she was being given away as a baby on the streets of Schenectady NY. Guys were asking passerby’s if anyone wanted a puppy and this is how I got her. I know she is mostly Shih Tzu but I’m not sure what else she is. Everyone thinks she is a real life stuffed animal and she is quite the head turner when I take her places. Miss Lee has collapsing trachea and she battle pneumonia back in late 2024 to early 2025 with the help of Woodhill Veterinary. Now she is going to need dental with much of her teeth having to come out as she is getting bone loss. This is not covered by her ASPCA insurance as they only cover $120 yearly but with a $10 mthly payment so it was not reasonable for me to include that in her coverage Miss Lee is a very playful little girl, she loves her stuffed toys and she loves giving kisses. She loves attention and strolling in her stroller. Yet currently her dental is making her feel unwell and she don’t even want to play or give kisses. She is starting to be hesitant about eating her soft food now even though I heat it up for her, she wants it but I can see a hesitancy. I work 2 jobs, live almost paycheck to paycheck and am a single pet parent taking care of Miss Lee and her Pomeranian adopted brother Renley. I pay just over $300 per month for insurance on them but it doesn’t cover dental. I am told Miss Lee’s dental will be $3,000

Malin

Malin is a 6-year-old Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd in philmont, NY, who needs $2,000 for Cranial Cruciate Ligament Repair.

philmont, NY

After years of being apart, I was joyously re-united with my dog Malin last year. She stayed in Vermont with an ex of mine after a breakup as I knew she would be happier there for the meantime with 130+ acres to roam on a dirt road. Years later he contacted me in a moment of distress and asked if I would want to take her back and of course I said yes! I was looking to adopt anyways! Malin is VELCRO to my partner and I these days: she sleeps with us, she snuggles on the couch with us, she (normally) walks everywhere with us, even just wants to be in the car with us when we run errands. She is laying at my feet as I write this. She has learned new tricks since we were reunited like "paw" and "twirl" and has even re-befriended her two cat buddies Aengus and Gunther. I lost my job in early March of this year just as the Pandemic started here in the US. I only recently got very part-time and temporary farm work to help keep myself afloat. This surgery is serious, and unaffordable for us at this moment. Can you help Malin? I noticed Malin was having a hard time getting up a month or two ago. That has progressed into a CCL tear and/or to a total breakage of that ligament. My vet says she needs TPLO surgery on her left knee to repair it and have her back to her normal self. She walks with a limp, cannot put weight on her back left leg and is suffering and now rather depressed. Everyones first impression of Malin is: "Look at that smile!" or "OMG She is so sweet!" or "What a beautiful dog, what breed is she?" She twirls, she carries her rubber frisbee around wherever she goes, she can jump super high, she sneezes when she gets excited, she does downward facing dog when I do yoga, she LOVES CRONCHY things and makes the most ridiculous face when eating. The list is endless
