I was given Ghost as a gift from my active military duty friend. He was being left alone for very long amounts of time and my friend knew he would be better with me. My kids and I rely on him for anxiety control and he is wonderful with my kids and everyone he meets. To say he is a blessing is a massive understatement. Ghost is a family dog and loves to be wherever we are. He sleeps with either my son on his bed or at the foot of my bed. He loves to lay on the cool concrete when I work in the yard. He loves to chase his sisters and play in the yard. He is extremely social and loves everyone he meets. He is always there for his family when our anxiety feels paralyzing. We would move mountains to help him. Ghost is king of the sass! He loves to tell his story to everyone he meets with a friendly “woo!” He is a known escape artist, quietly sneaking out of the doors. It’s take us a minute to catch him but he always meets friends along the way. He senses sadness and anxiety and will come lay down and ask for belly scratches until he feels that he helped. He never leaves our side when we are sick. Ghost needs a bilateral TPLO, as he blew out both is his ACL’s. His vet did not see any genetic predisposition for this and there was not any known or witnessed injury. Our vet is confident that with this surgery he will be able to run, jump and play for many years to come given that he is so young. I am a single mom of two kids who is finishing school to get a second job in medical billing and coding. We struggle to make ends meet but always manage. I work full time but do not have any savings and am in credit card debt. Please help me save my love and my best friend.
