Annie

Annie is a 10-year-old Scottish Terrier in Rantoul, IL, who needs $1,999 for Prednisone and Vinccristine.

Annie showed up in my life as a puppy June of 2013. She currently runs the house and semi truck that she lives in. She keeps the squirrels and rabbits of the area in line. She sleeps where she wants. We go on daily walks around the neighborhood and at every stop that the semi makes throughout the day. I have a rescue, Chanel, and she tolerates her even when she is jumping up and down on her!!! Annie is usually quiet. Only barking at the rabbits, but not really chasing them since her diagnosis. But, if you get her into a situation where there are other dogs....she is a gossip!!! Annie is being treated at the U of I Small Animal Clinic in Champaign, IL. She has been diagnosed with stage 4a Lymphoma. She is currently being given Predazone and chemo drugs. This was highly unexpected. I would love to see her happy and healthy for many more years. I know it may not be possible, but I'm willing to try. Any help would be appreciated!!

King

King is a 7-year-old Staffy Mix in Gatineau, QC, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy.

King is the sweetest boy, a Staffy mix who came into our lives 2.5 years ago as a rescue. His first few years of life were filled with abuse and neglect but even after all of this trauma, he is so loving, gentle, and a sensitive soul. Everywhere he goes, King makes friends -both human and furry -with his sparkling personality. He makes the neighbors smile as he greets them, will hug you when he senses you are upset. He loves wearing his hoodies, and struts when he has a new one to show off. His favorite treat is his beef, but will whine at the fridge if he knows there's whip cream. He is truly my ray of sunshine. There's not enough space here to convey how special King is, to describe all the little things he does - like how he asks for hugs or how gentle he is, especially with elderly people & small animals, how he likes to watch the fish when we go to the pet store, how he talks to 'his' bunny (a netherland dwarf) or the love you feel when he looks at you with those big eyes and smiles at you. Dec 13th we had to rush King to the hospital. It was found that he had internal bleeding from a tumor. His vet feels that he has a positive prognosis based on the diagnostics that have been done so far, IF he gets this surgery in time. There is an immediate risk of him bleeding to death, so time is running out. He is now under the care of Dr. Robert Ostrowski at the Nepean Animal Hospital King is my emotional rock. Last few months have been really rough - traumatic death in the family and job loss, among other things. We may have rescued him, but he has saved me from slipping into a deep depression and I can't give up on him without a fight.

Jamison

I adopted Jameson from a local shelter about 2 years ago. He was the second edition from the shelter as we adopted earlier in the year. Due to having recently put our Lab Taylor down due to Medical conditions. He currently resides with me and my youngest son. Jameson is a very loving dog. He is also very active. His best friend is our other dog Bud. They have a bond like I've never seen before. He often licks his face and cleans his ears as if he were his own. I also saw a special side of Jameson when my son came home from the hospital after a terrible motorcycle accident. He was confined to the couch and Jameson never left side. Jameson loves to play fetch with anything. It could be his rope, a ball a football or whatever you can throw even logs from the fireplace he will retrieve. I've come to find out that he is fully trained dog and very active. He comes up with his rope in his mouth with a smile on his face with his eyes bright and his tail wagging. He will not take no for an answer! After having Jameson around for 3 to 4 months I noticed he had a limp. I took him to the doctor and they said both his back legs not only had arthritis but torn ligaments in both legs. That both would eventually require surgery. Dr Meridith Esterline at South Texas Veterinary Surgery talk to me through the entire procedure. She is truly wonderful and took her time explaining everything. I recently have had a cut in hours at work due to the slowing of our business. I live paycheck to paycheck. However I can't put this off any longer. I would love to see him doing what he loves most running and playing in the sprinkler. And bringing logs in for the fireplace.

Sasha is an 8-year old Plush Coat German Shepherd. She is a registered Service Dog that I take to nursing homes and homes that love dogs but can't have one. She loves people and has a gentle spirit. I got her as a puppy at 8 weeks and she has been my loyal companion ever since💯❣️ I live on a small hobby farm where Sasha interacts with two other dogs, a long hair miniature Dachshund and a cross breed Beagle/Bull Dog mix, and several cows. Sasha loves to herd the cows, chase and retrieve a ball. When my grandkids come over she licks their faces and wags her tail with enthusiasm! Sasha is special to me because I got her as a retirement present after 39 years and 8 months of civil service to our country. It was also not long after my bride of 26 years passed away with breast cancer. It was a time where I needed a loyal companion and she has been a blessing to me ever since! Sasha developed a tumor mass on the top of her head the size of a tennis ball. I had three evaluations and it is a slow growing MLO tumor. I took her to the Kansas State Veternarian Hospital for her final consultation and Doctor Martin Hamon feels he can successfully operate on Sasha to remove her tumor. The surgery will be complicated and she will get a titanium mesh over her skull. I am retired from civil service and on a fixed income now. I would greatly appreciate any assistance possible as this diagnosis and surgery is expected to be around $7,800.00 dollars

My amazing puppy Unfortunately going to be put down but I saved him from humane society He was found abused with a horrible story but he is doing well but needs help He loves everyone and loves to play hes a big baby he makes everyone happy and loves to be loved i don't know how they could have abused this guy because he's so much love and comfort in this house is nothing without him He was hurt so badly but that not his life anymore he was only 4 months when I got him and now is almost a year and half hes finally realizing he safe and loved and he makes everything better for everyone who loves him He was playing at park he cried so bad when it happened I'm currently out of work due to my doctor orders so its a bit hard but I wasn't expecting this to happen i have nothing at the moment and only vet that I can get to is Waterhouse veterinarian in clovis but he also needs shots My doctor has me out of work my dog is supposed to be my emotional support and I'm also his but its hard but I'm beyond trying to give him the best life after all he's been threw im just ready for him to finally be a healthy puppy and want him to have the life he deserves

Max is my husband service dog in training. My husband and I are both disabled Army veterans. Max helps my husband with his PTSD and will be learning mobility assistance as well. We purchased this boy to help and now he has become my husband’s best friend. He is the most loving sweet boy on the earth and we are so blessed to have him. Max loves on everyone when he isn’t working with my husband. He never meets a stranger. He is best friends with my service dog, who misses him very much. Max may be a giant, but he is all heart. Max is an amazing boy. Even today when they were trying to get multiple IV’s going for him, he laid his big head in the tech’s lap and let her work. He is so laid back and so gentle. He is so special. Max is currently at UT Veterinary Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. Max started limping unexpectedly on Monday and we called to schedule a vet appointment. By Tuesday morning, he was no longer willing to walk. When we got him to the vet, he had a fever of 104.5. Our local vet has done all they can to determine the nature of Max’s illness after almost two days with them so now he is at UT We are disabled veterans, and do not make much monthly from that. UT is the most expensive place to take your dog but they are the difference between him living and not. He is so sick now. We are asking for help to afford his $3500 treatment estimate.

I recently lost my service dog Alita to heart failure. I ran into the woman who sold me Alita and she informed me she had a puppy she needed to place in a good home she was being beat up by the other puppies. I took her immediately and fell in love with her. I chose her name from a tv series character mazikeen. Since I have had her training is going great. She is a character she is sassy. She loves everyone in our household and she loves meeting new people. She has her own bedroom and her favorite toy is a narwhal. She is afraid of her own shadow. But she converts me when I'm feeling down or sick. She loves going on walks even though she can't walk that far. Because of the pain. Mazi has been on pain since she has been with us she has a very hard time standing up. She can not get comfortable. When she does stand up she has potty accidents and she feels so bad about it. I sit and cry with her. Town and country vet Saif it would be around 300 to get blood work and x-rays to check for Cushing or hip dysplasia I live on a very limited income. I just payed for alitas cremation. Had a Death in the family and lost my vehicle. I would do anything to help her. All I can do is hold her.

Bella came into our household as a puppy. She has been with us 3 years. She has a fur brother who she loves to play with and he is lost without her being able to play. Bella is 3 years old. Full or life loves her people. She loves the out doors, loves playing fetch and rocks. Yes I said rocks. We have had her since she was just a puppy. She loves the kiddos for sure and loves attention. She has a silly attitude and will make you laugh. She is one of a kind. She means the world to our family. Bella was let out Saturday 09/29/2023 to go potty her favorite spot is the woods. She came back with injuries to her body like she had got attacked by a wild animal. She has a deep wound on her leg, bruised stomach and what appears to be infection by her private. She hasn't been able to really move. I have been having to hand feed her and give water by hand. She really needs vet care asap. I just want Bella to be back to her happy healthy self, up playing being silly. This was all unexpected and our household income is barely paying our bills. Any help to get her care would be greatly appreciated and mean so much to me and my family.

I've had Ollie since she was 9 weeks old, a friend of mine posted a picture of beagle puppies and I had to have her. She is 10 going on 11 but she still acts like a puppy. Other than her back legs not working she still gets excited for food, treats and bones. She still loves to go sit outside, which we do every morning. She's still a very happy dog given her circumstances. Ollie loves love, she loves when people walk by and pet her. She's always been like that. She's loves interacting with other dogs. She's really smart and independent. If she could she would take herself out to go potty. She refuses to go potty in the house even if it's an emergency and I'm at work all day. She loves to cuddle and just be a dog. Ollie has probably over 100 stuffed animals, dog toys, from over the years. She liked jumping towards her toy box to pull out all over her toys,she's loves getting new collars, her Mom tells her she looks so pretty so she gets excited for new collars. She's an escape artist, when she was younger she would get out of the fence no matter what. She loves rolling around in the grass. Ollie was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease almost 2 years ago. We noticed her legs were getting really wobbly and she was having a hard time walking. Last summer she still had some use of her back legs but one of her paws kept knuckling, then it became both.She still has feeling throughout her legs but not paws. The vet says acupuncture sessions could help her regain her ability to walk. Ollie is my best friend and still has a lot of life in her. I don't make much money, just enough to make sure she is fed, can get check ups and has a home. I can't afford her surgery which is $6000 so acupuncture is the next best thing which is $118 a session.
