Taffy

Taffy is a 10 year old Greyhound in Geneva, OH, who needs $1,388 for Diagnostics and Treatment for Mass in Throat and Dental Surgery

Sweet as the candy, Taffy lives with her brother, Blind Truman and her sister Tootie (both have or had Waggle campaigns) at the Sanctuary at NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue. This trio of littermates are know as The Triplets. A few days ago, we felt a concerning lump/mass in Taffy's throat. Our vet examined her, ran lab tests and took a sample for a cytology. While there is no signs of cancer or infection, we need to monitor the mass closely and if it doesn't resolve on its own, we need to move to plan B which will involve medications and/or surgery. Taffy inherited the "bad teeth" gene, like her brother Truman. Her dental disease started causing her problems that no amount of daily brushing, scaling or additives could fix. We recently had to extract her remaining teeth to prevent infection, pain, sickness and premature death. We now need to raise funds to cover those vet bills. Taffy is the most outgoing of the Triplets and is the strong one that holds the group together. She's also the overseer of the other hounds and always has her nose in everyone else's business. When NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue saw immediately how sister Tootie depended on Taffy for her support and comfort and they knew they could never separate them. Now, brother Blind Truman also leans on Taffy and together they share their caretaker's bed. Advanced age has brought Taffy some other medical issues, including an enlarged heart and pannus in both eyes. Thankfully, medications and supplements are keeping these in check. As a registered nonprofit animal rescue, NE Ohio Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to pay for the medical care of the senior animals in their program. They have raised funds to cover Taffy's pre-surgical lab tests. Now they need funds to pay for her surgery bill. Can you help Taffy to live the rest of her life free of dental pain?

Marshall

Marshall is a 2-year-old Pit Bull Mix in Skiatook, OK, who needs $1,900 for Colonoscopy and Resection.

Marshall, along with his sister and momma, were dumped in a rural area of west Tulsa over a year ago. They were starved and sad and needed help, so Betsy and her family took them in. Marshall is a 2-year old male white and red (mostly white) pitty mix who has made himself part of the family. Through Betsy's love and care, Marshall has become a happy thriving guy. Marshall loves all people and all other animals. He is happy, goofy, and playful. He likes to be a clown and zoom around the yard. Even though he weighs almost 60 lbs, he thinks he wants to be a lap dog. He loves kids and gives kisses anytime he can. He's just a sweet dog who wants to be loved and he will love on his people as much as they will let him! We have only one income and the costs are daunting for Marshall's colonoscopy and surgery. We've already spent thousands of dollars on his care so far. We need help to afford the recommended procedures to get Marshall back to his happy, healthy, goofy self! Unfortunately Marshall has recently suffered a series of rectal prolapses requiring multiple surgeries. His veterinarian advised that the prolapse will continue to occur until the cause is identified with a colonoscopy and likely some sort of resection surgery once the cause is revealed. Our goal is to first get the colonoscopy, then get him back to good health with effective surgery. If you look at Marshall's sweet face, you can tell why he has charmed his adopted family and also why he charms anyone he meets. Most of all, he likes to be the clown, jumping around, running in the yard, and acting like a big goofball. He's quick to show his love by giving you a kiss whether you want it or not. He's just the sweetest!

Grace

Grace is a 4-year-old Black Labrador Retriever in Concord, NH, who needs $2,000 for Chemotherapy and L-asparaginase.

Grace chose us in January of 2020. She is a rescue from Mississippi. She has lived with us since, and mom works from home. She has hiked over 200 NH 4,000 footers, loves to hike, go to softball games, play with her doggy friends, camp and go to the beach (but she prefers the river). She lives with her mom and dad and loves to go on walks and to the park to play. She loves her squeeker toys. Grace is the first person at the door when you get home, whether you have been gone for 1 minute or 1 hour. She has the biggest butt wag to let you know how much she loves you and missed you. She goes everywhere with us. We plan our vacations around where she can go with us. She loves to give kisses and also loves her Gram and Grampa. She loves to bring you the ball or her toys to play. Grace has the most extreme butt wags for her favorite people. She loves to give many kisses to her mom and dad at bed time and when they are sad she licks their tears away. She is the best girl who steals the heart of everyone she meets. She likes to show how happy she is all the time and brings a smile to everyone around hers face. Grace had begun limping after playing with another dog. For a few months we worked with our vet to determine the cause. The day before the vet visit to determine if she needed surgery on her shoulder, we noticed that she had a swollen lymph node and brought it to the Vet's attention. She was diagnosed with B Cell Lymphoma after many tests. We would like to do chemotherapy. We have determined that we can safely pay $5,000-$6,000 for her care; however, the care she needs will be upwards of $8,500-$9,000, per the oncologist. We are looking for assistance, if possible, for the $3,000-$4,000.

Guru Needs Us to Help Ease his Pain

Guru has already endured more pain than any dog should. This gentle boy arrived at the clinic with a severe wound beneath his jaw. The tissue has begun to die, leaving him with a painful injury that requires immediate medical care to prevent the infection from spreading even further. As the veterinary team examined him, they discovered something even more concerning—Guru is also showing signs of distemper, a dangerous virus that can quickly become life-threatening without treatment. Right now, Guru is receiving intensive care, including daily wound treatment, IV fluids to keep him hydrated, powerful antibiotics to fight infection, and supportive medications to give his body the strength it needs to keep fighting. His veterinarians will closely monitor his progress over the coming days and adjust his treatment as needed. Guru deserves the chance to heal, but he can’t do it alone. Hello, my name is Jen Morgan and I am reaching out for help to take care of my man rebel. He is my best friend. He has my ride or die. He is my ESA and he is my granddaughter’s best friend as well as my husband’s child. For Christmas, I bought him a stuffed toy and he ate it, and it is now stuck in his intestines. We took him to the vet and they did a steroid shot, hoping that he would drink more and it would push it through his system and it didn’t. At the time, my vet said that he should be good. Well a couple days has passed and he is getting worse and worse so we took him to another vet and they did x-rays and the stuffing and stuff in his intestines. He is in critical condition and I’m asking for help because they want to do emergency surgery in our household can cannot afford that at this time so I am asking for help cause I cannot lose my best friend my ESA. Our child our fur baby.

Reggie was my soul mate day 1. I didn't want another dog because we already had 2 but love made me drive over an hour to pick up a "Maltese". The lady rehoming the pup was outside with him. As soon he saw me he ran to me as if he knew me and slept in my lap on the way home. I knew then it was fate. After a messy separation, he came with me. He's been with me thru my darkest hours. I love him He has a growth on his chest/underbelly area that has recently grown in size and it is bothering him. When I took him in before, I was told not to worry since it wasn't bothering him at the time but bring him in if it grows quickly. That's where we are now but I'm not in the same financial space I was previously. He's the most loving baby ever. Takes a while to warm up but once he does, you're family. He loves grooming his sister & tries to groom us as well. He's so vocal! He's very playful & has a different ball for every day for two weeks straight. He can be mischievous and will hide his toys to force you play or even drop them off the balcony. I love his little noises & attitude. He is my whole world. I had to move out of the home we've shared and start over with no family for support. Happened at the worst time because the cost of living was up as well as rent but I had to have a place to stay. Any help would mean that he gets a fair chance because he is worth it to me!

Draco is my best friend. He has been my baby since he was able to leave his fur mom. He has a human sister, a human brother and a dewgy dewg sister. He is the sweetest most gentle guy I know and loves to love. Draco loves to play! His favorite words are bubbles, walk and whipped cream. You can not squirt the whipped cream can without him running for some. He knows which toys are his and which are his sisters, but likes to irritate his sister by pushing her ball around. He loves when she grts feisty and chases him. Draco is a special kinda silly. He is scared of his own shadow, literally! If something is too close to him while he is eating, it gets the side eye the whole time. He is bigger than his sister, but thinks hes a lap dog. He has not eaten or pooped for almost a week. I am scared to take him to the vet to get diagnosed, knowing I can not afford to help him right now. My Carecredit is maxed out from a prior procedure he had. The vet he goes to is amazing, but does not offer financial assistance. My best friend needs help. This year has been oneof the roughest yet. I know everyone is going through it. But between hybrid battery going out, other car engine blowing, nail in tire, broken car windows by locals, who don't respect anything and vet procedure to save Dracos foot, its been extra hard.

Charles was one of the surviving pups from his litter after his pregnant mama was dumped at the Legacy Humane Society by a breeder. Charles was doing well until recently. His foster parent noticed he was urinating blood and raced him to the animal hospital. This adorable, loving pup has bladder stones and needs them removed immediately. Now the humane society is rushing to raise the money for his surgery and have his stones sent to pathology to understand what caused his condition. "With the surgery, he will go on to live a long puppy life," Molly B., with the Legacy Humane Society, tells Waggle. "The bladder stones will not impact his quality of life." Dakota is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd Mix in San Marcos, CA, who needs $2,000 for Intravenous Fluid Therapy with Potassium & Electrolyte Supplementation.

We adopted Dakota in September 2021 from a rescue shelter. He is 2 1/2 now & suddenly started vomiting on Sept 27th, a few trips to our vet & to an urgent care facility but his symptoms got worse over a few days & he developed bloody diarrhea as well. We hospitalized him on Sept 30th into a 24hr speciality care clinic to manage his issues. Dakota had been the best dog I have ever met, I'm sure every pet owner says that. He lives with his brother Jax, myself, my wife Jill & my two daughters Kendall & Sierra. He has a funny, goofy & playful personality launching himself off our recliner to our couch & zooming around the house. He has brought so much joy to our family & every person he has met. Dakota has that "it" factor. Dakota has so much personality, between his couch launching abilities, his love for people, he has never growled or barked at other dogs & greets them with nothing but play in mind. He makes me smile every time I see him. Dakota was diagnosed with Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome & Severe Esophogitis. He was seen by our vet at San Marcos Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Ichord & then admitted to Veterinary Specialty Hospital with 4-6 doctor's for supportive care. We maxed out our care credit card & another card, applied to 6 different foundations for grants & spread his story on all social media sites telling his story. I submitted his story to NBC7, Fox5 & KPBS in hopes more people can help. Dakota is our world.
