Cookie came to us as a very tiny and precious puppy! He lives with my daughter and myself and has a shitzu brother named Pepper. They play all day. They keep each other company, and are inseparable. Cookie is our BEST FRIEND! He Loves everyone. He is the best snuggler. He lives to play fetch with us. He will pick up three small balls and carry them around. He has a younger Shitzu brother named Pepper. They are the best of friends. Cookie has never met another dog that he didn’t want to play with. He is a very friendly and happy guy. He is funny! He loves baths, and carries his hair brush around. The best quality that Cookie has would be that he loves kids! He allows any kid to pet him, and loves new people. In our neighborhood, he will sit down in the middle of a group of kids, allowing all of them to pet him or walk him. He is well known! He teaches kids to love dogs. He gives lots of “high 5’s”to all his friends. Cookie is 8 years old and has always been in perfect health. Recently he had a growth pop up in his mouth. It was so big that he was losing weight and having trouble keeping his younger in his mouth. We discovered that the tissue is Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The only way to treat it, is to remove all of the affected area. Which could mean part of the jaw is removed. The total cost for the surgery is between $4,000-$ 6,000. I am a single mom with limited funds. I was not approved to borrow money. The tumor needs to be removed quickly. He can live a normal life after surgery. Giving up on having Cookie around is not an option.

Brownee is a MIRACLE to be alive - she was hit by a car who never stopped. When I ran to the street to see if she was alive, I found her breathing and I knew I had to do EVERYTHING in my power to keep her alive. Thank God she is yet here! Please help us - she is a special dog who saved lives!!! Almost everyone who meet her loves her! Brownee is a family favorite - she loves listening to people lecture and pray. She helped saved both of her grandparents lives. She doesn’t believe in people crying around her - if you are crying, she runs out of no where and dries up your tears. The fastest runner & loves home cooked treats! She is a protector and certainly is fighting for her life. Brownee loves to smile when you walk in the door! & she loves spending time with family. Brownee loves watching Disney movies and action movies. She is a great protector and loves listening to music, lectures, and people. She loves talking to people or people talking to her. More than anything, Brownee LUV’s good food!!! Brownee lost her eye while she was being ran over in the street. But we are grateful she is here with us! We’re learning that an eye can be replaced but not a life - THANK SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP! She has a long journey of recovery such has pain, surgery, protection from infections etc so, thank you for your prayers and help! Unfortunately, this is an Unexpected accident that no one could prepare for…. I have learned to put things in place to prepare for accidents and care for Brownee. I no longer take things for granted. Please help take care of her surgery to sustain her life - THANK YOU

Roxie was given to me by my daughter when she was 6 weeks old almost 9 years ago. Roxie has always been my baby from day one. She has been my side ever since. She is my baby but she is also a family dog for my children & grandchildren!!!! She is truly loved unconditionally. I'm am looking to get her stabilized to live her elder years happily without suffering. There are gastrial issues that we atecurrently working on. At the same time she needs surgery. She needs to be spayed & she also needs to have a nail removed from her tummy. We are working with Central Animal Hospital in Guilford to get her on the right track. When you walk in the house and Roxie sees you and has nothing but unconditional love to give all kinds of kisses and hugs. She loves her family. She starts jumping and barking in excitement when she sees us. This was a unexpected Illness & I have depleted savings account & credit cards In order to get her surgery that is needed I need help. She is truly loved and it would really hurt my soul not to be able to help her. She is family & any help we can get is greatly appreciated

I got Coffee as a pup and he has spent his entire 16 years with me & my other 3 yorkies. We have lost the 2 females- Gaby & Zoe’ due to old age, now Coffee is battling kidney failure. We’ve had a waterline break in our home and are currently displaced and facing financial hardship. Our vet recommended I reach out for assistance which led me to find you. Coffee has renal failure and I take him at least 3 times weekly for sub-q fluids to help his kidneys function. He also has to be have injections of anti nausea regularly & appetite stimulants & high nutrition food. I have a high vet bill from having the 3 dogs and being on my own trying to take the best care of them possible which I do pride myself on. Coffee touches everyone who comes in contact with him. He is the sweetest, most agreeable little guy ever! I will also tell you that when I first got him I was filing his paperwork and saw his bday was the same as my beloved brother who had passed from Leukemia in ‘1986. I was FLOORED! I knew this dog was something God put into my life for a reason and would be very special & he HAS BEEN MY LIGHT! I am on SS disability, I’ve had a crisis with my home being flooded and am displaced w/ most personal belongings in a pod. There was not only water but asbestos was found! I want Coffee to have the best care and remaining life possible & be able to continue providing that.

I’m reaching out because my dog, Charlie, has recently been diagnosed with a likely cruciate ligament tear in his knee. He is a big, loving, high-energy boy who absolutely lives for walks, being outside, and spending time with his family. Over the past few weeks, he began limping and we learned that his knee is unstable. Right now he is on medication and strict rest, but due to his size (over 100 pounds), surgery is strongly recommended to properly stabilize the joint and prevent long-term pain and arthritis. The estimated cost of surgery is more than I can manage on my own. Charlie is still bright, happy, and full of life. He relaxes when we sit with him, wags his tail, and doesn’t understand why he can’t run and play right now. I just want to give him the best chance at a comfortable, active future. Any donation — no matter how small — would go directly toward his orthopedic consultation, imaging, and surgery. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this page means just as much. Nola

Nola came to live with us in 2017. She belonged to my niece but she was not able to care for her because of her mom's ( my sister's) health condition, they had to be away from home a lot because frequent hospital visits. We had another dog at the time but Nola wanted all of the attention at first but eventually she mellowed out. She learned at lot from him. She still does things he used to do. Nola has Glaucoma in both eyes and she is now blind. I noticed she was having vision issues but I thought it was because of cataracts which I noticed in one eye. When I realized she could not see at all, vet diagnosed Glaucoma which was eventually diagnosed in both eyes. Visited OSU veterinary ophthalmologist and determined best course of action would be to remove both eyes. Free from pain. She still has a lot of energy. When we go for walks she hurries down the street just like before. She still always wants to the center of attention, needs to sit next to you on sofa. Loves when we have visitors, still nosey. Whenever my mom visits she can locate her in another room now matter what. She still plays with a few of her toys, I just leave them so she can locate easily. Caring for Nola has gotten to be more expensive. Eye drops need to be refilled about every 3 wks. Vet care more expensive for routine visits. I just can't afford the surgery anytime soon. 2nd time meds stopped working. Just want her to be pain free.

Milo lives with myself, he has 1 fur brother and 4 human siblings. He has been a very healthy and happy pup up to this accident. He is very active and loves running around, playing tug a war with my golden and chasing each other around the yard. He got away from the kids when he went to run to play with another dog. Sadly in doing so he got hit by a truck. The driver did not stop. Milo thankfully survived. He suffered some lacerations to his eye and leg. He also has a left femoral fraction which they want to repair with surgery. I am a single parent not prepared for this. Homeward Bound in Bel Air Md is the facility that I am using. Milo is like a true baby. He loves cuddles, cries if we don’t give him enough and wants more when he knows he did something he shouldn’t have. He is so energetic and full of life. He loves running around with his fur brother and human brother! He gets hand fed by my daughter and rocked to sleep often. He truly is just like one of the kids around here. He is amazing and we are so blessed for him. We miss seeing him run and do what he loves so much. It’s hard for use to cuddle him and love on him without it hurting him. We need our little Milo back up and to normal. We are so sad for him.

I received Bentley, as gift December 2010 after my pet Shi Tzu had to be put to sleep. Bentley, is a lovable sometimes overprotective pet. He has been with me and his emotional support has gotten me through my hardest times in life. I can’t imagine life without Bentley. We call Ben Ben. When I got him as a puppy my cousin looked at him and said he looks like his name should be Bentley. Bentley, has been diagnosed with Bladderstones. Initially I was told that it was going to cost 2000 to have the stones removed. I’m not financially in a position to come up with that type of money. The Vet suggested about a month ago that we change his diet and monitor his progress. For awhile it worked but yesterday morning he started peeing blood again. He loves to snuggle up to you in bed and fall asleep. He also loves to barge his way into your lap and sleep all day. He loves to sit and beg for your food whenever you eat. I am limited on my funds especially with a significant amount at the last minute for my dog to have surgery. It would mean so much if you can help me cover the cost. I don’t know what I would do if I loose Bentley. He is my everything since I don’t have children

Jazmine “Jazz,” is a 1-year-old toy poodle mix rescued from a puppy mill as a baby. She's a high‑energy, loving dog who loves to run & play with her sister Ava, also a rescue. She currently lives with my son, me, and our other rescue pup, where she takes daily walks and visits the dog park to play with friends. Jazz escaped my son's care on the eve of 11/1/25. She was missing for 3 days before a kind cab driver found her severely injured under a bridge & took her to a vet. X-rays show a broken femur, pelvic injuries & damage to both hips. She's in a LOT of pain and can barely walk to the potty. She may have internal damage because she recently had blood in her stool and is not eating or drinking. Jazz is a Godsend who is integral to my mental health recovery. After my therapist recommended I get an ESA to center & stabilize bouts of PTSD, Jazz has served as a registered emotional support animal (ESA) who helps keep me stable when PTSD is overwhelming and negatively impacting my daily responsibilities and routines. She is also great for soothing my son's anxiety. Her surgery is approximately $7K–$9K. Sadly, I can't afford this. As of June, I am once again unemployed after being laid off for the 2nd time in 18 months. I have only been able to land part-time work while supporting a college student.
