Coal

Coal is a 13-year-old Pomeranian in Lancaster, SC, who needs $850 for Heartworm Treatment.

Lancaster, SC

Coal was a rescue when he was 3. I’ve had him for 9 years he’s helped me and my family through a lot. With his current heart worm condition I just don’t want his end of life journey to be hard on him. He has always been in good health and I’m sure with treatment he for sure has some good years left in him. It’s really disrupting his life with all the coughing when he really gets moving. Coal has been with us for 9 years both my sons 20 and 15 have been raised with him. We have 4 female dogs but he’s a lot older so he doesn’t play with them and he’s neutered so there is that. He’s just a sweet boy and loves anyone he meets. He very docile and gently and has always been a loyal companion. Before his coughing bouts got so bad he loved running in circles and at night playing on the bed and rubbing his head around. When he’s with you he loves to bark at you to get attention. He’s just a relaxed dog and makes people feel comfortable. He loves people but just ignores most other dogs but he loves to sit and watch a good tv show. I’m looking to cure his heart worms it’s gotten to the point he coughs almost anytime he moves he’s just very uncomfortable. He has been neutered at a young age and has been relatively healthy. He does have some joint issues especially with his back left leg which he hobbled around on. I just wanna get him treated so he can live well again. My wife works and I’m on SSI disability we take care of them all but this has became an emergency we also recently had to take one of our other dogs as she was very sick with an illness so between being a 4 family house it’s just been hard to get him any help.

Zeus

Zeus is a 2-year-old Rottweiler in Mont Clare, PA, who needs $1,500 for MRI to Rule Out Brain Tumor, Seizures, and Nerve Damage.

Mont Clare, PA

Zeus came into our life from my step-daughter. She lives in VA very close to NC. We adopted Zeus from her friend who rescued a female Rottweiler and she was pregnant and had 12 puppies. Our vacation was cancelled due to COVID so we drove to NC to get Zeus. We've had him since he was 5 weeks old. Zeus is a good boy! He and his sister Luna (golden retriever) sleep in our bedroom every night. He sleeps on a baby crib mattress. He loves to run around and torment Luna. They play tug of war a lot. Zeus likes to take the tennis balls from Luna just to make her and he goes and sits down with them. He can fit 3 in his mouth. Zeus is definitely food driven. He'll do almost anything for a dog treat! He has found a way to let himself out of the house by hitting the door handle, and right behind him is Luna. He hits at the door with his paw when he is ready to come in. He gets very excited when we have visitors. Zeus sits at the top of our driveway looking down the road like he is the sheriff protecting the neighbors Zeus developed trigeminal neuritis (dropped-Jaw) about 4 months ago. He did not fully recover. He is experiencing gulping and coughing, vomiting, pacing and drooling, and panting a couple of times a day for about 3-5 minutes each episode. His right eye is also becoming cloudy. He needs an MRI to rule out a brain tumor, seizures, and nerve damage. This is a very unexpected major expense for us. I work, my husband is retired and just had shoulder replacement. The MRI will cot $4500 and I was approved for 2500 through CareCredit credit card. Any little bit will help.

Photo of Xena

Xena

Xena is a 5-year-old Mixed Breed in Port Charlotte, FL, who needs $1,100 for Bladder Stone Removal.

Port Charlotte, FL

I adopted Xena after Hurricane Irma 5 years ago. She was in a shelter and I saw her picture and fell in love. My dog Shana passed away in Hurricane Irma so I adopted Xena. Xena lives with me in my house and I also adopted another puppy named Gabrielle from the same pound to keep her company. I love them so much. They are inseparable. They are always together. Joined at the hip as they say. Xena loves being outdoors. I have a huge fenced in back yard, and Xena and my other dog Gabrielle (names were derived from a science fiction series called Xena Princess Warrior. Gabrielle was Xena Princess Warriors sidekick). Xena and Gabrielle love playing out in the back yard and running around. My 18 year old grandson lives with me and he adores both of my dogs and spoils them. Xena is very friendly and loves attention and being petted. She is very well behaved and if I ask her to do something or not do something, she obeys me. When strangers come to the door she wags her tail and looks to be patted. Definitely I do not think of her as a watch dog, she is too friendly and would probably just wag at an intruder and want to be patted. She is a people dog all the way. Xena has a large bladder stone and when she urinates the stone perforates her bladder and she urinates blood. She needs surgery to remove the stone so her bladder can heal. Due to Hurricane Ian unforeseen hurricane related expenses, I do not the money to pay for her surgery now. I am financially strapped, I live on Social Security and SSI disability which is not much money. I maxed out my credit card and savings with hurricane Ian related living expenses. The Xena started to be in pain and urinating blood, and her vet says she needs this operation

Brody

Brody is a 6-year-old Dachshund in Rock Island, IL, who needs $1,100 for Prof Dental Service Canine Grade III-IV.

Rock Island, IL

Brody is our second rescue Dachshund from a local shelter. He shares the house (and couch!) with Peyton, our 13 year old Dachshund. Brody was released to the shelter by an owner who could not keep him due to her living situation. Brody is a typical younger brother and keeps Peyton on his toes, but also looks after him as Peyton is almost blind and sometimes needs a nudge in the right direction! Brody is happiest perched on my lap when I get home from work, or trotting around the neighborhood. He sleeps in our bed, and in typical Dachshund fashion burrows under the blankets! He generally wants to be where the action is, and loves supervising in the kitchen. Barking at the mailman, neighborhood dogs and the washing machine keeps his daily agenda filled! Brody has a special bond with our older dog, one minute teasing him and the next snuggling up next to him on the couch. He really does keep an eye on him, helping him to the food and water bowls and keeping him away from hazards. He has this quirk of puffing his cheeks when you are talking to him that makes me think he is slightly annoyed with his two-legged housemates! Brody, like many dachshunds, is now in need of dental surgery. His snout was swollen and when we took him for an exam they said he has multiple abscesses and needs the teeth removed. He was on antibiotics but the swelling and pain will return if the teeth are not removed. Dr. Rigg is wonderful, and we trust her implicitly to perform the surgery. In the current economic climate we are living paycheck to paycheck, but don’t want one of our four-legged family members to suffer needlessly. We don’t qualify for a payment plan, so this crowdfunding on Waggle is our best shot to help Brody.

Dallas

Dallas is a 3-year-old Maltese in Torrance , CA, who needs $1,500 for Left Leg Repair.

Torrance, CA

Dallas is currently a in door dog who lives with me ( mom) and my 2 children, he was originally adopted for my daughter 3 years ago. We are a family of 4, Me-mom, my son my daughter and lastly Dallas the baby of the family, with his birthday fast approaching November 30th we would love to have him healthy again by then Dallas is the youngest of our little family, almost 3, he was adopted 3 years ago when he was just a baby pup. He was originally adopted for my daughter for emotional support from being bullied at school, Dallas gave her something to look forward to when coming home from school and little did I myself and my son realize he became more than support for just my daughter he brought us 3 closer Dallas almost immediately fell into place with our house hold, but also knew he was the baby and loves comfort, affection and most importantly-cuddles. He sleeps with us every single night and gives us all a huge welcome when we get home, my self and my 2 kids stay entertained when it comes to Dallas, we named him after our favorite football team, but unlike our team he never disappoints lol Unfortunately August 2022 my kids first day back to school Dallas was hit by a car while being let out our gated backyard to potty. His Left front leg needs surgery to repair the damage as well as after care he needs for post surgery. His vet clinic has done such an amazing job at providing the care and love Dallas needs to get through this horrible accident while caring for him July 2022 I myself was in a horrific car accident and out of work for sometime and also needed surgery to repair my injuries. Dallas is the last of my children and my son, daughter and I want nothing more than to have him healthy and home our arms

Nugget

Nugget is a 5-year-old Rottweiler in Gulfport , MS, who needs $1,200 for Spay.

Gulfport, MS

Hi, this is my best friend! My Nugget. She is my third Rottweiler and I must say one of the biggest personalities I’ve ever seen in an animal! What she means to our family is to us a lifetime of happiness! You see, my Dad, the tallest man in the world to me, unfortunately has passed away. Well five years ago he knew it was time to get a new dog. Dad and I found Nugget in Chunky, Ms. she was part of a huge litter of 10. Well Nugget is the leader around here but she never is anywhere she cannot see me. The one thing you cannot say unless you mean it is TREAT. She knows how to spell it too! So now we say we are out of Cucumbers as to not alert her. However, I’m in trouble when I go to Walmart, she knows she has a present! She’s spoiled big time! Anytime I have company, she does not care if your talking she does this low bark whine thing and demands attention. She then turns in circles and will look at her treats and back at you. She will let you know. She has woke me up barking at me if she is hungry. She is something else! So Nugget has now had two liters! First litter was eleven healthy beautiful dogs. I still have two huge males from that litter. Well she got pregnant and had her second litter June 10th this year. She is pregnant again! I still have 5 of the 7 she had. My father just passed and it’s to much! Well because of the timing and I cannot wait any longer without putting her life in danger they will Spay her and abort but they are asking 1200. Please help!

Buzz

Buzz is a 5-year-old Pitbull in West Creek, NJ, who needs $1,573 for Biopsy, CPL Testing, Mast Cell Very Likely.

west creek, NJ • agape love for mutts

Buzz is currently residing at one of our board members homes after being dumped by a "rescue" who had not given him vet care in over a year nor did they pay any kind of bills or supply any food/items needing for this dogs care. We finally got them to sign him over to us 3 months ago and now he is being diagnosed with mast cell most likely stage 3 or 4 because of neglegance on another rescue! Buzz is comfortable in the board members home surrounded by love, he is getting very clingy, and wanting to be with his people alot. He paws at us alot now which we aren't sure if that is him thanking us or telling us he is nearing the end:(. But we will be here with him every step of the way. Buzz is a joy to be around and also a vet favorite! What makes Buzz special? Well this dog has been through sooo much and he still comes out of it with a wagging tail, and so much love to give the world and everyone around him. He is a client favorite at our board member/trainers home and everyone has to say hi to our buzz! This dog does not have one mean bone in his body, all he wants is love and in return he has lots of love to give! He had no vetting prior to us due to the previous rescue not getting him any:(. So we did all his vetting (mind you he is 5 years old and his vaccinations were over a year out of date. After we got him we took him to a vet and they said his things were ocd, which is NOT true obviously now we understand it is most likely mast cell We are a small non profit in South Jersey who does not get any government grants, or funding. This dog we took in because we couldn't see him suffer anymore and now we are facing mast cell with our beautiful boy
